How strict are you with your dreamies?
I let all of my villagers do as they please. I try to gift them stuff I think looks nice with them or in their house, so if a fish doesn't look nice, I'd rather they didn't have it. As for originality, I definitely don't care. Even if they wear a bad outfit it kind of just makes them charming imo
I gift furniture depending on the house. If their house is junk, I won't mind giving them more junk. If their house is pleasant, I'll keep it that way, regardless of whether or not they are a dreamie.
The same goes for outfits. If they don't have a good outfit, I'll use Harvey's island to pickone out, and then gift it to them.
I'm not strict at all tbh! I just prefer they kept their original catchphrase. I miiiight start to try and make them keep their original furniture in their houses, though.
She wasn't even my dreamie but with Marina I accidentally gave her an awful shirt. Ended up voiding her and buying her back original. I never give them bugs/ flowers, I stick to fruit/hanging terrariums and stuff. I very carefully choose what clothing I give them (using
this), while trying stuff on from my catalogue at Harv's Island , making sure it looks good and matches. So maybe Im a little strict with them

I don't think I'm too strict with my dreamies but currently I've been against giving them new catchphrases though. I gave Raymond the catchphrase Me-WOW because I found it cute and a little silly. But suddenly Zucker ended up saying Me-WOW too. I really loved it when Zucker said bloop.
So I stopped giving everyone new catchphrase.
Anyways, dreamies or not, I want to make sure they all have nice clothing and furniture. ^w^
I basically don't want to ruin their own interior. So I only give wall mounted furniture as gifts
i do everything except giving them insects or fish because it really ruins their house :/
I am hungry for storage space!
I don't give anything to them at all! However, I encourage others not to follow my example.

I give them clothes and that's about it tbh, I only give them furniture rarely (gave Lolly a lot of furnitures because she has the starting house and it's boring lol, thinking about giving Diana a shell lamp, giving Lily some furnitures because she's not original and some of the given furnitures to her don't really match her house so I gotta give her something that are more fitting), I really like their original things as I feel like that's their identity and I don't really want myself to change things for them, I only give them clothes that'll fit them...
I don't really understand the whole thing with a villager being original. Legit aside from housing and clothes and the villager species they all have one set personality. Personally it is boring to limit your villagers, including your dreamies. They become more original when you give them stuff to spruce up their house and wear new outfits. If they come from another island that just adds extra history for me, they were at other places before settling on my island permanently.
I actually think it shouldn't be called original and just a default villager. xD
i tend to not gift my villagers furniture only because i usually love how their house looks and i dont wanna mess it up lol. ill gift them clothes if i think it suits them/looks cute
Not strict at all. I get wanting to change their style to fit your town theme or something, but never understood why they needed to stay "original". It's all silly.
I love the house designs, so I have been keeping them as original as I can. NL taught me how quickly a house interior can go downhill.
I do gift clothing, but I've always tried to find items that look nice on them.
Yes, I will do deliveries, but if an item doesn't look good, I'll say so. Fortunately, that hadn't happened yet.
I feel like villagers are bound to lose their originality at some point so I don't really care nor mind.
Buy one burial get one free
Honestly, I don't limit them! They are my dreamies that I'm not planning on selling, so no need to keep them original!
I was gonna say i don't limit them, but i do try to avoid giving them other catchphrases. Not a fan of seeing it spread like wildfire. besides, a lot of their original catchphrases are pretty cute!
I don't really limit my dreamies, though I don't really give them furniture or clothes (my son gave Raymond a shirt and now that's all he wears

)
If I do give them furniture, I needs to match their theme, so it won't look out of place.
I've only just learned about this concept of "original" villagers. None of mine are, I always send them some furniture as a housewarming gift
BUT! I make sure it matches their house well. I still like them to have a nice looking house. And I like them to have nice clothes (I really hate when my villagers give each other weird stuff... thank God Del didn't wear that onesie much)
...And they don't always use it anyway. Julian did not seem to appreciate the golden candelabra (or whatever it's called) I gave him

I have 2 of my dreamies. I don't really interact with a lot of other players until recently, so I had no idea people did this! No judgement, it just never crossed my mind. I see why one would though. I love helping my villagers decorate and dress up, if I didn't, it wouldn't feel like animal crossing to me.
The only thing I never change is the catchphrases for any villager. It's too stressful to come up with something haha!
I personally love to gift my villagers new clothing, that's like half the appeal of getting new villagers in this game for me is just making them try new styles of clothes. (Thank goodness I learned you can 'test' outfits out for them on Harv's island!) I'm not too strict on their houses unless they ask for items that take up too much space or will look out of style for them. For catchphrases/greetings I don't really care but mostly don't change them just cause I can't think of anything fitting for them most of the time. I don't have any custom patterns in Able's but I wouldn't want them wearing anything from someone else just because I don't know if it'll look good on them.
