How often do your villagers actually talk to each other?

So, I don't know if it's just me but I haven't seen my villagers talking to each other that often before, they just didn't seem really talkactive to me. However, I catched them talking to each other a lot today already so I just wanted to know if it depends on the time of the day or something like that?

I think it's completely random whenever villagers talking with each other. I also had days
where my villagers talked a lot with each other and then I had days where they just run
into each other and didn't talked at all. Not sure however if the time has something to do
with this, I saw my villagers at all times talking with each other, can't tell on which time
more or less.

Mine do all the time; not sure what exactly causes them to if there's anything that causes them to more.

I think the layout of your town really helps with this. In Taiga, conversations are very rare since villagers tend to live far away from each other. In Fireleaf however, their houses are very close together and I almost always see villagers standing on the bridge together. As a result, I see conversations there on an almost daily basis.

I've noticed the same thing in my towns.I try to get my villagers houses relatively close together so they'll interact more and it works.I also put a bridge and some benches close to where my villagers houses are and they tend to gather near or on those PWPs.Another thing I've noticed is that my villagers tend to have more conversations if I play in my town longer than 15 minutes or so.

I see at least one villager interaction a day! I guess it's just luck of the draw as to if and when you manage to catch them, I find there are certain times of day where my villagers all seem to be around the same part of town and there's almost always an interaction then.

I wish I could see more villager interactions. I play daily and for at least an hour every time, but I've only caught a handful of conversations. I think I'm just always in the wrong place at the wrong time, because I have seen the after effects such as the shirt changes and the villagers going around singing.

I’m afraid of villagers interacting with each other, because of the possibility of a catchphrase and clothing change. I’d like for some catchphrases to be original and clothing to be original. The houses I really can’t help.

My villagers didn't talk to each other at all in the beginning, but after I took a month off from being mayor they suddenly started (and arguing!) a lot more. It might be because their houses are all pretty close to each other, but I like to think they just got lonely after I left. :)

My villagers are very talkative. I'm usually fast enough to run up to them and catch their conversations but I have never in all my years of playing been able to catch the dialogue that causes them to change/share shirt designs. I'm not even sure if it's possible anymore... because if it were I'd try to intervene lol u_u

I have noticed that my villagers very rarely talk to each other.

My villagers talk to each other occasionally, but not all the time. I do catch them talking semi-frequently, despite them being a bit scattered throughout my map. I just caught Kiki telling Fang about the chili stain on his shirt, and how great of a cook he is. :p

THe crowd in Callisto isn?t super chatty, but I think because of how I have the villager space in Stardust, they?re incredibly chatty! It?s pretty fun, though a bit annoying when I?m trying to get someone to ping me for a PWP xD

Well I haven't noticed a pattern in my town. My villagers don't speak to each other all that often and just walk by each other. Their houses are close to each other but they still don't talk that much. They do talk to each other sometimes but not as much as they could be. Also time of day doesn't seem to matter unless it's like 3 am of course. I wish they would talk to each other more!:(

In Kanagawa where the houses are close together they do talk often but oddly enough they'll talk on the bridges more than by their actual homes. In my new town i see a talking but not as much though their houses arent that far apart except for one stubborn villager who moved on the other end of the map off by himself... and yeah he's a cranky villager xD

I don't see them talking much in my game. The villager-to-villager conversations seem more common in Wild World and City Folk, unless I've just been unlucky in New Leaf.

My villagers are always talking to each other because there houses are all near bridges and bridges seem to be where they hang out the most
