Today's the first day I've ever start pathing, and it's tedious work. And I worry that I may have the urge to change it up. How often do you change paths? My paths only take up 5 spaces and it looks pretty good for a Zen-themed town so I'm glad with it at the moment.

I changed mine quite a bit on my old town, but it's not that hard. All you have to do is overwrite the QR code with the same sort of tile and it will change the path you put down. Right corner for right corner and all that jazz. Once it's down, it's easy to change!

I have changed my paths twice. I wanted something more fallish looking and will probably switch to something else for the winter. It is super easy to change the look of your paths once you have them down. You just change the pattern in the slot in your inventory and like magic, all your paths are done.

Oops, looks like I posted at the same time as Illulanka who said it better!

Thanks guys! My paths are awkward and not the organized one though, so I guess I will change that some time in the future :P

I've made my paths more complex over time, but I've never changed the basic path scheme. It's these alternating brown and gray stone tiles. I only used that scheme at first, but I now have these nice stones I use over the cobblestone areas (by ReTail, the train station, the town hall, and the town tree), a natural path for my camp, park, and other more natural-looking areas, and this water pathing (just for decoration, not meant for walking on) around my town tree and zen garden PWP.

My pathing is purposely picked that it'll look good with all seasons (well... the natural paths might look terrible once it snows due to the grassy borders, but the rest will be fine) because I don't think I'll want to change it very often, if at all.

My paths are seasonal, since I just need to copy the new design on top of last season's it's not a big deal. Although I'm lazy and haven't put my fall paths down yet. Or finished making my winter paths. Oops.

I never have. I have a simple 1 space pattern so it could easily be done for seasons, but I'd love one that fits into my characters pattern space with room to spare. I might look up some 5 square ones I could use in winter when the red brick would be too harsh on the snow.

I have an extremely complicated path that I just got done laying not too long ago, and of course what I didn't realize was that autumn/winter are coming soon, and my paths are summer/spring... But I love my path too much! T-T

I may make my towns theme time travel so I can fit the path when it's autumn or winter, because flow of time will be messed up in my town. Hehe... c:

I rarely change my paths. They look good in all seasons and until I find better ones I will not be changing them again. :3

I think I've changed mine once. I have a simple purple brick path that I see myself keeping for a long time. It fits rather nicely with the fairy tale buildings and PwPs.
