How often do you all play Animal Crossing? I play it either everyday, or I stay away from it for ages. Sometimes I over invest myself in it and then, not because always of burnout, have to stay away from it to keep my relationship with the game healthy. Because when I get obsessed, I get obsessed and that's not good for me, but I still, it's really fun to play.

I am either playing at least a half hour everyday or I take a few weeks break from it. Right now I am playing on my second since I recently restarted it. So currently hyper focused on it. I had stopped playing over the summer since I was playing Pokémon Violet instead. Usually I will stop playing if I get hyper focused on something else.

between pocket camp and new leaf, i play everyday! i haven't touched new horizons in... a long time, i actually couldn't give you an exact time-frame. if i ever end up getting the switch two, i'll probably transfer my data over and maybe pick it up again, but until then, it's a pain to play with my borked switch lite, and the game just doesn't interest me as much as new leaf.

Been playing Pocket Camp and NH again every day after Pocket Camp had a EOS announcement (I got back into AC series that time). At some point, I might end up getting burn out on NH again, but we'll see since I'm some what playing normally.

I’ve been playing Pocket Camp at least five time a week since late 2021 but I don’t count that. When I first got New Leaf in 2022, I pretty much played it every day that I didn’t have to go to school, and when I got Wild World and New Horizons I had even more Animal Crossing games to play, but recently I’ve been enjoying it less and less since earlier this year so I decided to just take a break for now. Now I haven’t really played New Horizons or New Leaf in probably three months, and I have gone on Wild World just to make sure Tom Nook’s store doesn’t downgrade since apparently that’s a (stupid) punishment that exists for not visiting your town in a long time, but it’s only to check that and pluck a few weeds, I haven’t actually had a real session in a while on that game either. I really only go on New Horizons if I have to for an event on the site (as long as it doesn’t involve designing since I’m terrible at that, so basically never) Since Pocket Camp servers are closing and I don’t plan on getting the paid version I won’t really be playing any AC games at all. Idk when I’ll go back to actually playing them but it just felt like I was forcing myself to play, which is why I decided to stop.

I go through phases where I play it every day to not playing it at all (except to do a trade since I have a shop or to do something quick at harv’s studio) since I can only focus on one thing at a time. Right now, I’m not touching it at all except when I have a tbt shop order or to do something quick at harv’s studio like for a drawing reference. Right now I’m focused on my secret santa art that I’m doing. Prior to that, I was focused on my Persona 5 playthrough. I was working a bit on my second island too.

I usually check at least one of the games everyday, but schoolwork and other obligations sometimes make me abandon them for a while 😔

When I just got the game, I play it everyday for months or even a year.
Eventually I play it less and take many breaks. Currently I will probably only play an Animal Crossing game for one random day then not touch it again for months. I don't even play video games daily in general anymore. I can't handle it with the depression right now.

I currently play ACNH everyday, and the others once or twice a week/couple of weeks. I might have to come back and change my vote later on because it fluctuates a lot. I'll have bouts of playing one game non-stop and ignoring the others. Autism. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

^^^ pretty much this exactly 😭

rn i'm mostly playing new leaf every day, and my approach is playing it for a few minutes several times a day, and that seems to keep burnout at bay somewhat

i used to get really fixated and play it past the point where i was having fun, which affected my relationship to it. i'd rather play for very little every day, and actually play every day, in the long-term!

It very much depends for me, which I feel a lot of people are like this lol. But I'll get into intense periods of having a vision for my house, island, whatever and spending hours grinding for that goal. Completing it and then moving on to something else or just kinda going day to day just doing dailies. Sometimes I don't play for weeks but I don't think I've ever dropped the game for more than a month or two.

When I was focusing on New Horizons, not often, now that I am playing New Leaf again fulltime every day

When I have NH downloaded I play it a lot but then I burn out very quickly and then archive it. Its kind of hard to play something when you only have a digital copy and you want space for something else. NH can get boring really fast and so my burnouts happen more quickly. I never had that problem when I played NL but for some reason NH gets old for me and I find myself going to other games. Maybe it HHP and all of the homes you have to do for each villager. It gets repetitive and tiring for me.

I usually play every day, but right now, I'm currently taking a break to avoid getting burned out on it again. Before I got Happy Home Paradise, which is really fun for me, I used to take frequent breaks from the game because it may have been fun at first, but it got a little boring easily.

At the moment I have been playing once to twice every two weeks and I usually go on to do my daily tasks and that's it.
