How often do you get new lines from villagers?

I am curious. For now its been 1 week I think since I heard a new line from them. Is it just me that's so unlucky? D: They are basically cycling thru same 5 lines everyday.

I’ve started getting a lot of new lines from villagers this week, especially the ones I’m close to. It could be you’re unlucky or that you aren’t close enough to get more lines from them, as friendship does seem to affect what they can say to you.

Its been the same for everyday, but the new lines come from the villagers I don't talk to often most of the time. Other than that it is pretty repetitive sometimes.

I'm starting to get new lines. I think I've been getting a few a day. Granted, some of them are just talking about clothes, but since I haven't heard them before I count them as new.

New dialogue usually pertained mostly to the first 5 villagers I've had for ~3 weeks? Felicity opened up and had 3 new dialogues yesterday; Drago also had 2 new ones today too. For those that haven't been in the island as long I don't really notice new lines from them so I guess I'm not that close to them yet.

I try not to talk to the ones that are repeating too much since they do say more things if you don't frequently talk to them.

I get new lines often but it is only after I have talked to them a few times that I get new lines

i get at least 1 new line a day after talking to them 4-5 times to get past their default dialogue
