How often do you find new DIY recipes?

For a while now, I‘ve had trouble finding new DIY recipes. The few that I get every day always seem to be repeats. I get so many repeats that my side characters I use for storage also only to seem repeats, even though they barely have any recipes to begin with. It’s kind of frustrating cause I barely have any good furniture I can use. I’m wondering how everyone else is fairing.

I get them fairly regularly. You can get 3 a day from villagers crafting, the daily message in a bottle, from balloons, and also you can get more message in a bottle DIYs sometimes from visiting the mystery islands with a Nook Miles ticket. I don't get a new one every single day, and the more recipes I get the more I expect to get repeats. But new ones still happen.

I don't get new ones that often so I keep an eye out in case someone might be hosting a diy that I need. I ended up making a list on villagerbd to keep track of them aside from the wreaths and crowns that I ended up ignoring since I didn't know what was what.

At this point in the game I've been getting constant duplicates. TT v TT I get my 3 every day and they're constant duplicates. They're honestly annoying to sell on here since you have to constantly bump your thread usually so I just straight up sell them to the lil Tanuki bbs.

I've been getting a lot of dupes. Very rarely do I get new diys, so I'm hoping for new seasonal ones soon. Even if I get rare ones I don't even make a thread to sell them anymore since that was super hectic and a bit stressful for me, so I sell them to the nooks now.

Same here. Lately every single one I’ve found has been a duplicate. I even got one today in a balloon, which normally doesn’t happen for me, and it was a repeat as well. I used to drop my dupes on the ground for my side characters to pick up, but since I keep getting the same recipes my side characters already know them too and I have to just sell them. It’s so frustrating

I also get the fruit recipes, and it’s always for the fruit that I don’t even have. Today my regular character and my side character both got cherry hat diy... again.

I’ve been finding bottled message DIYs twice a day on my island fairly often.

Is the red feng shui overload in my main room responsible for this? I don’t know. Anyone else experiencing this?

I occasionally find one in a bottle and sometimes get them from a villager. Since Bunny Day though, I have not seen a single DIY from a balloon.

not all that often. i’m only missing a lil over a hundred and most of them are seasonal and celeste so i typically only get new diys from trading, now lol

I have around 150 of them, and I'm getting dupes all the time.. it's really annoying at this point, since apparently there are over 500 in the game.. I really don't understand why I have such bad luck :')

I haven't been getting any new DIYs lately...mostly repeats of ones I have already learned so I have like a hoard of DIY recipes laying around. If I do get lucky enough to find a new DIY, it would be from a message in a bottle rather than my villagers. They love teaching me recipes I already know lolol.

I have almost all of the DIYs except the flower crowns, wreaths, and uchi ones. (Of course Celeste and seasonal ones too) It's really difficult for new recipes because I have 3 villagers of the same 2 personality types (3 cranky, 3 smug = 6 villagers crafting the same DIYs) and missing villager personalities. I can pretty much only get the uchi ones I'm missing from a bottle or on the forum. Otherwise, I have to wait for my villagers to finally craft flower crowns or wreaths instead of something I have

I've been keeping track and I've gotten over 350 DIYs, and I believe there's almost 600. Majority of the DIYs I'm missing were the crowns, wreaths, seasonal DIYs, and those I can buy with Nook Miles.

Balloon diys are seasonal I believe. First was bamboo and cherry blossom, then the special bunny day ones. There will be summer diys in balloons starting in June.

between time traveling, my insane amount of hours logged, going online to hunt DIYs I like, and religiously getting all 3 DIYs from villagers + picking up from the beach I feel like it was inevitable that I'd start getting mostly repeats. There are still a lot I don't have, but I do wish you could deny duplicates from villagers OR storage was an option. My basement has been dedicated to holding DIYs cause I don't wanna drop them on my island for fear of hurting my rating.
