How much have you spent on amiibo cards so far?

I'm late into the game, but we all know how Nintendo didn't stock enough amiibo cards for the demand they were in. I was able to buy a couple packs before they all stopped being stocked.

Lately I've been buying mystery packs and single cards off of Amazon (long story short my only supply of cards) and I've spent... quite a bit. Atm I'm not willing to spend more than 10$ for a single dreamie much desired card, but there are other dreamies that I want, which cost like 20-30$. I really want to finish up my towns with the rest of my dreamies and them to stay there, since I have a habit of not playing for a month on end. Plus, if NH supports amiibo the same way NL does, I'll be able to have my best dreamies, Tutu & Wolfgang.

So how much have you spent on cards -cards specifically, not figures- thus far?

I think the most we have spent on one card currently was like $4. The rest have all been around $1-$2. Of course, that could all change tomorrow depending on the direct.

I have a full amiibo collection. Got lucky and started buying them when the cards were released. The highest price for one amiibo card was $3 on Amazon Canada. Sanrio cards were purchased from Game UK and costs about $15. They took awhile to arrive but was worth the wait.

NA did a poor job selling them as random cards in a pack or boxes for Series 1 to 4. It costs a lot of money and boxes didn't complete the collection. In Japan a full box of cards completed their collection with extra cards. Welcome Amiibo full box in NA was the one that completed a collection.

In the early days I was able to trade here and buy on Amazon/Ebay. The price for a card than was $2 with free shipping. I also traded with local people on Used Canada. Met them at a local coffee shop and traded a card for a card.

I have one Amiibo card which was $4 but it was basically free for me because it was a present for my birthday. But then, I have about 5 AC Amiibo figures (i think) from Five Below so I spent about $25 in figures and $0 in cards

i was only able to find 2 packs at gamestop last year, when there was like no amiibo cards to be found anywhere. i was hella lucky. i went there and someone had them on hold- and i drove like 50 minutes there. however, they said if they don't pick them up by 1pm the next day, that i could get them. obviously, i went the next day and purchased them! i was soooo happy
it was about $12 for both packs <3
i am planning on purchasing more on amazon soon!

Unfortunately, way too much. I only bought the cards that I needed. I didn't spend too much on villager cards. I have about 10 of those and got each for $1-$2 a piece. The bulk of my money went towards the Welcome Amiibo RV cards. I bought them individually as I needed them for the furniture and ended up getting somewhere around 10 of them as well. I bought them for anywhere from $12 to $25 a piece. Averaging it all out, I probably spent about $200 and only own about 20 cards.

Quite a few of them were surprise gifts. I, myself, have probably spent $10 on a few of them from eBay. That's it!

As far as I can tell, including shipping, tax, etc., I’ve spent $26.55 on Amiibo cards, all from eBay. I bought five cards, ranging from $1 to considerably more than that.

It sounds like a lot on a per-card basis, but when I think of it in terms of peace of mind to avoid having to worry about having a favorite villager move out, I think it’s worth it. There are a few others I’ve wondered about getting, but I try to keep a bunch of non-Amiibo villagers in my town, so I haven’t pulled the trigger on additional cards. Most of the ones I got are old favorites; the exception, Stitches, is an animal I’ve always wanted to have in my town (and he was the most expensive card).

$1 on a clearance pack at Walmart with by luck of the draw had my two favorite villagers in it.

I'm estimating between $200 and $300.. :/ I don't remember the exact number since I managed to collect all the cards years ago. I don't own any figures. I spent $50 on the Sanrio set alone.. not a good idea. Given the choice again, I would just collect my favorite villagers' cards instead of going all out to collect all villagers.

I agree though - there was a higher demand than supply and I had trouble finding certain series so I would buy the available series and try to trade those cards for cards from other series on TBTF or Reddit. I never paid for an individual card but I went store hopping to see if amiibo cards were in stock. That was just way too much and I would not do that now lol

i got a bunch that were cheap a few years ago. i got villagers like marshal, fauna and bob so i'm pretty happy.

on ebay i picked up my 3 favorite villagers since they're unpopular so i got them at a low price

More than I care to admit because I bought them a few at a time from eBay since 2018 so even though it doesn?t seem like much it adds up but I only spent big bucks on Chai?s $26, Julian?s and Marshal?s averaged about $20 each I think and all the others I have were pretty reasonable. Oh, well, there are worse things to spend your money on I guess.

I only bought three or maybe four at retail stores before they sold out. Each one costed approximately $9 so its $27-$36 plus tax which equals... $30.51-$40.68. That's in Canadian dollars by the way and managed to get good ones. In fact, I had a duplicate of Julian that I decided to give it away for free to one of my classmates back then!

Honestly, not that much? It's definitely under $50, but keep in mind I have a LOT of cards. I think the most I spent at one time was when I bought the Sanrio cards from GAME, and that was $12 for 6 cards. Other than that, they've seriously been nearly free whenever I saw them, so I'd just buy packs as I came across them until no more were being sold. :+(

About ?40-?50 I guess. I mostly bought my favourites individually off eBay and Cex and store them in an official album which I got as a bundle with random cards including popular ones like Julien, Merengue and Marshall. I got the Sanrio six pack too before the price skyrocketed.

Around $115-20? for the whole welcome amiibo card set, shipping included. The rest of my villager cards were gifts because my friend had extras. I have a few amiibo figures as well bought at their standard price. Got Isabelle and Digby from the Amiibo Festival pack even though I don?t have a WiiU, because it was on sale and cheaper than a regular set of amiibos lol.
