How much do looks matter?

Do you think people are treated different if they're extremely attractive/unattractive? If so, how, and to what degree?

Obviously I think so or I wouldn't have made this topic. I think it's rather unfortunate, but that it's ingrained into human nature. What say you?

Yeah, I was totally judged by my looks in middle school since I wasnt buff, or didn't have awesome hair...>_> But lucky for me, I have the power of RAEGQUIT on my side and went to homeschool . But looks dont matter to me so I was an outcast....

Ooh bringing something up here.

I saw this show where they would use actors and hidden cameras to see how people would react in different situations. In one episode they had the actors pretend to be stealing a bike (hacking the chain with a saw, etc). When it was a white guy, people just ignored him. When it was an african american guy, an angry mob actually assembled around him, yelling at him. D: When they used a beautiful blonde woman as the bike theif, men would actually help her "steal" the bike, even when she told them she was stealing it.

Guys, does this sound like something that could ever happen? XD;;

I know this girl who has an illness (forget the name of it) which severely effects the way she looks, so many people judge her for that without even getting to know her and because of that she lacks confidence.

Sad thing is, she has a heart of gold. She'll do anything within her power to help other people, even if it requires her going out of her way to help them.

One time a random stranger asked her the location of the train station, she didn't just point them in the direction they needed to go, she walked with them to the train station and made sure they got on the right train, even though the train station was in the complete opposite direction of where she was going.

Well, I don't really care how someone looks as long as they take care of themselves, I am fine.
I don't happen to like hanging out with people who haven't taken showers in 4 weeks.

And just because you don't have good looks people never try to talk to you or something and you could be the coolest person in the world!


Or when guys only go out with girls because they're pretty... And then they COMPLAIN THAT GIRLS SUCKKK. UGH that makes me the most mad. Maybe if they tried for different girls, like one's that are actually worthy of being a girlfriend, than maybe girls wouldn't suck so much to them.. :/
