Am i the only one who doesn't like having 9-10 villagers? I kind of wish that I could keep just 8 villagers, one of every personality. I don't like having duplicate personalities because they just say the same things anyways. If you could pick the amount of villagers in your town, how many would you like? and why?

15. I feel like 10 is not enough. I concentrate more on looks not personality. Just reread that. In real life thats not a cool statement, lol

I have 9 right now and yet sometimes my town feels deserted! Maybe a dozen so you have a few more without feeling overwhelmed by all the requests!

Also, i feel if i have only 8 villagers, i would have more space for orchards, gardens, and PWPs

I think 12 would be a good number. Not too many, not too little. Half my villagers are usually inside while the other half is out and about/sometimes missing so I agree with Siren137 on that one. I normally only have 8 or 9 villagers, but I wouldn't want to have 8. But I know where you're coming from on that opinion. I just like the 10 maximum so can have my 7-8 dream villagers and switch off my "open" spots with villagers I'd like to experience in my town since there are so many of them.

I personally like the amount of ten, but I think you should be able to choose in kind of an ordinance.

For instance, "small town ordinance" would give you 6 villagers, "medium town ordinance" would give you ten, and "large town ordinance" gives you fifteen. I think this would be an awesome feature in the next game c:

I feel like 10 villagers is too much. Their homes take up a lot of space.
Honestly, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to have 4 villagers only.

Rocco, Violet, Bubbles, and Jambette.

Maybe one day I will be able to choose how many villagers I can have. :c

I would like 16 tbh but if they did that the town would have to be massive like on the gamecube one but that was so worth it and having 16 villagers would just be like < till you get rubbish ones .-.

I would like it to be an upgrade that you worked for, to be able to decide how many villagers you had. So I could have 4 when I was working on flowers and trees, then move up to 15 or so when I got things going. I would love for the town to be bigger to have room for them all. Think what you could do with more room!

Now that's a great idea! That way everyone gets what they want!

I'm pretty satisfied with 10 villagers right now, but I wouldn't mind having 12. Even though some of the villagers are of the same personality, they seem to have different interests, so that provides additional variety. e.g. Eunice is my reading buddy while Molly likes to cook and do quizzes. The map would need to be larger for it to work though.

THIS WOULD BE SUCH A GREAT IDEA. Especially with the different amounts with previous games, they should have definitely done this with New Leaf.

Also hopefully more variations with conversations and villagers can interact more better with each other...
Maybe some same species couples.... a mom, dad, and kid in a house? instead of just one villager in a house.. maybe an actual family.

I think that it depends on the situation.
If there was more space to work with, I would go back to 12 from City Folk; just because I love getting villagers.
But with the limited amount of space, 10 is fine. Although, there's still lots of space in my town for more ppl to move into~

I like a busy town, so I go for around 13 in the current town size, even more ofcourse if the town would be bigger.
