How many Tickets do you spend in your longest Villager Hunt?

That's a lot of tickets and dedication! Hopefully you found both of them. And if you haven't, I'm sure there's someone on here or somewhere that would help you find them. (Happy belated birthday!)

I did find them both, thankfully. The Sunk Cost Fallacy prevented me from just getting them from someone else- if I did, all the tickets used would've been a waste. Thanks for the happy birthday comment, too.
Still, that was a ton of tickets for two villagers that shouldn't have been that hard to find. I've found Marcel in under 30 tickets on other hunts. He was just being Rude.

so far my record longest hunts have actually both been fairly recent hunts.
1,093 for Marcel
1,147 for Rod
I was going crazy by the end of both of those hunts. I did take a break midway through the Rod hunt to celebrate my birthday in real time, then kicked someone else out and went right back to hunting for him.
hahahaha poor, sweet Alex....

Just did 1,218 tickets looking for Shep. Went crazy. Took Skye instead because she fits the theme as well, but I'm still gonna have to get Shep. That is now my longest hunt ever.

I don’t usually spend more than about 10 at a time, I really don’t have the patience 😂
I’ve done more than that but i dont know how many. Less than 100

Those long hunts, that's when it's more like an obsession than a game and my brain just goes, "No, that's not right." I have lucked out with some of my best villagers coming from the campsites, though, so I've not ever really spent a ton of tickets going to the islands.

Over 100 I think on my first island for Drago. It was long and excruciating but I ended up finding him in the end. On my new island I am beginning the process of trying to get him again but I have a new plan and won't go crazy with the tickets this time. I find island hopping exhausting and the process makes you burn out on the game faster than usual. This is because I want to make use of every ticket so I load up with materials and other things I find on the island hops and sell them for bells or put them in storage. Island hopping can also be demoralising especially if you encounter a particular villager multiple times. On my Drago hopping I remember finding Marina more than 5 times because Zucker was on my island. Seeing her again and again made me develop a distate for her then.

I know what you mean. After I've been to maybe eight or ten islands I get flat-out tired of the monotony. I'm hoping to get someone to move out before too long so I can go again, but I doubt very much my attention span will last longer than finding someone I like rather than a 'dreamie' or some such.

after an additional 140 tickets, I got Shep! A grand total of 1,358 tickets for him alone.

Dear lord.

i have enough patience for about 2 in me and then i’m done lol…. i would rather find villagers either on the forums or even amiibo cards on ebay or whatever. i just know if i spent a long time hunting for a single villager that every time it wasn’t the right villager it would make me bummed or frustrated, so i don’t even want to attempt to spare myself from making the game miserable for myself. i’ve only very recently been like “well maybe an amiibo card is worth it for a slightly better game experience…”
i actually caved and bought my first amiibo card last night for cherry hehe

the other reason i don’t villager hunt is also because i will have a specific villager in mind that i want to move in — but i feel like island hunting for villagers is probably so much more chill if you have a range of villagers you are hoping to get instead of one specific guy. i wish all my luck to those who hunt for a specific villager, i just personally find it too punishing of an experience

I’ve yet to have a villager I was actively searching for so I think my longest was about 8-10 nook mile tickets. I just don’t have that much patience to go thru the airport dialogue every single time.
