How many Tickets do you spend in your longest Villager Hunt?

I've spent 0 tickets on them. I've never bothered doing villager hunts on NMT islands, lol. I just use the campsite for new villagers.
The campsite is alot more useful if you have amiibo cards. It can help you get rid of unwanted villagers.

I think about 60 in a single go? I knew who I wanted, but if I got bored at any point, I would just settle on any villager who looked remotely interesting, keep them around until I got their photo and some screenshots for the memories, then I'd let them leave and start the search again.

I've been pretty lucky overall, though. According to a list that still needs to be added to my island journal, I've used around 270 tickets in total to get all of my permanent villagers.

60 Tickets is a good number! I thought i already got every Dream Villager but no, i really want to get Punchy in my Island. I've been avoiding it for a while to give a chance to other Villagers but no, the second coolest Villager (in my opinion) have to come to my island.

I spent around 300 trying to find Chester. I remember being up so late that night searching for him because I didn't want a rando moving in to the empty plot the next day lol

I understand. What i'm doing right now is setting my clock to early hours so the next morning the plot don't auto-fill.
I spend 131 tickets trying to find Sasha but I also found Norma and Pippy in the process so it wasn't all that bad ☺

Cool you found other 2 in the process!

Campsite method is way more useful than hunting with NMTs i can tell.

77 NMT's on a 80-NMT villager hunt. This was back in November I believe, I got Mitzi on the 77th ticket. <3

It feels good when the Villager your looking for finally appears! xD

I spent around 20 tickets (since I ran out of points and don't trade online to get more tickets) during my most recent villager hunt for a decent looking villager for about two weeks until the game just made someone move into the empty plot. I did get Cookie out of it so it's all good.

700+ NMTs since the game came out looking for Kiki and/or Lolly. Didn't find either of them.

Now I'm just hoping one of them pops up in my campsite one day.

I spent over 400 looking for Cole for my first lazy villager. I didn't give up until I found him, but it was very annoying. I saw so many repeats because I could only find lazy villagers.

i usually have pretty good luck when i go island hopping and only have to use around 2-30 tickets before finding a villager i like, but my longest session took 3+ hours and 103 nmts. i wasn’t looking for any villager in particular, but i wasn’t finding anyone that i liked enough to invite haha.

i found friga on my 103rd ticket and invited her immediately. she’s one of my favourite penguin villagers, and i was so excited to have her. the kicker is, though, i forgot to save when i returned to my island and autosave didn’t have a chance to kick in before i stopped playing, so my inviting her to move in didn’t save, and she never moved in. del did, from somebody’s void, and i actually enjoyed having him around a lot more than i thought i would… but damn. i was so confused when i loaded up my game the next day. 😅

I think the most I NMTs I spent was about 160, recently looking for Chrissy. After that I gave up and adopted her instead. I enjoy villager hunting and it was fun meeting a bunch of different ones on the islands, so that is half the fun really. But there is a point where it starts getting annoying seeing some of the same villagers again on the mystery islands, then it`s just as good to give up and just adopt or something similar... :)

Edit: On the other hand, I was super lucky villager hunting the first three for my current island. Found my three dreamies Molly, Beau and Shino in under 60 NMTs.

I think my longest hunt was for Whitney, which extended into the high 80's (don't remember the exact number but if I had to guess maybe 87 NMT or something like that)
My 2nd longest was for O'Hare, which was 80 NMT on the nose, and 3rd highest was I think Wolfgang, which again can't remember an exact number but I wanna say in the 70's

I've honestly been pretty lucky with my villager hunts and haven't had to spend 100's of NMT and dozens of hours to find who I'm looking for, thank goodness 😅 😅

I think the most tickets I have used was probably around 50 which isn't too bad. I was trying to fill the last spot on my island and I was just hoping for any of the new villagers to pop up. Azalea showed up and time was running out before the game auto filled the spot on my island so I took her. I really enjoy her on my island now plus I needed a snooty. I vibe with the big flower on her face.

got Raymond’s amiibo card so don’t need to search, but took LITERALLY FOREVER to find maple!

lost count but i think it easily went over 500+ tickets because i was looking for reneigh on an old save file, never did find her and she ended up showing up at my campsite the next day lol

Simple. 1,022 NMTs...

For the most part, I buy the cards off Amazon or Etsy, but when I restarted my island I like to do a hunt for Audie.

The thing is I don’t like the inside of her normal home…no idea way though…so I try to do hunts to make sure she is one of the 3 plots you build. For me I prefer her in the starter home it just looks nicer to me.

So sometimes it takes a hundred or some tickets and then sometimes it only takes like 3.

I had a look at another thread and saw a 400 tickets hunt for some cottagecore animals, done in one day (second day on my island, I start villagers hunt pretty early to make sure I have "easy" dreamies), but I remember worse: another first days, Asian-themed island, looking for Pinky, Pekoe and Chester. I've found the two first after maybe two hundred tickets, but Chester was totally missing. I know there is a lot of lazy cubs, but I met several, often repeats and Chester was, of course, the only cub missing. After something like 600+ tickets, two full days and about to let the plot fill by itself, which means a reset of my island, totally tired and digusted, I just let the game go for months.

I spent around 100 tickets to get Megan on my first island, which was nice! I also spent around 900 tickets trying to get Puck! I saw every penguin except Puck at least once, and some of them 3 or 4 times. In the end, I ended up buying his amiibo card and inviting him that way!

I have a lot of amiibo cards now to bring the villagers I like best or that match the theme of the island but I've enjoyed all the ways to get villagers including mystery island hopping, camp site, and trading online. It's fun to visit someone else's island to talk to the villager in boxes and invite them that way.

I've rarely used tickets to find a villager. I only did it for the 3 starters and then after that everyone else was an amiibo move in. I've only used tickets to gather resources, get the daily diy bottle, and one time to find a single cicadas shell and that took forever.

so far my record longest hunts have actually both been fairly recent hunts.
1,093 for Marcel
1,147 for Rod
I was going crazy by the end of both of those hunts. I did take a break midway through the Rod hunt to celebrate my birthday in real time, then kicked someone else out and went right back to hunting for him.
