How many people play "how the game is intended"?

While there are warnings about TTing, and it's frowned upon by some people, I just feel that if TTing wasn't intended then it wouldn't be in the game. The game is meant to be yours to control and to shape, for the most part, and for that reason I believe that TTing is not some kind of cheating or game breaking. The villagers will even acknowledge TTing some times. They spread rumors about "The Mayor being a Time Traveler". Plot resetting however could be considered cheating, and going against the intended method of game play. I admit to TTing when necessary, although this did unfortunately ruin the dates on my Town tree, because I got the Gardening shop a little earlier than I was supposed to. It isn't a real consequence, but others may dislike it. I have plot reset and campsite reset at least 3-4 times each. I consider that cheating, as well as the diving trick. I make an exception for TTing.

On weekdays I play day by day, but on weekends I sometimes time travel to move out villagers and to finish up public work projects. usually though, it would be time travelling to move a villager out xc

Nope, not at all. I would not have 2,3k hours in this game if I did. Woulda dropped it in like a month.

Same here. Likely the same for me too, no way I'm still playing this after this many hours if I did do that. It's always been like that for me though, ever since the original with that real time setting, it's like this game is parallel to our world, that's why I love it so much, and just like in real life you can't go back in time to "fix" stuff or do stuff, so if I miss a shop being open, like tonight, or well, I missed it. Really wanted to talk to Katrina because I'm flopping like a fish when I try to run!! She's closed though, so I guess I won't see her today. Just like real life though, a shop closes, I can't go back in time to open it, I have to wait for the next time they're open.

I timetravel alot to breed hybrids and check whats in store.. I buy stuff I can't get myself off ppl..
I don't really plot reset because I fail at it...
So I don't play it like how its intended.

Huh, that long delay is what kept me coming back everyday between June 2014, and June 2015 when I was trying to grow hybrids. It was fun checking in everyday to see if any did grow. That was also my second year goal to grow them all on my own, and it kept me playing through year 2, and sadly I didn't make the goal until into year 3. Now, what's bringing me back is checking to see how many have dreamed my town- just reached my goal! If you find something you need to do everyday, and do it over and over, you get something to look forward to I think.

I didn't plot reset in my first town Noveon, but only because I didn't know such a thing existed. And if I did TT it was only one day every now and then. But now I do it all the time in my newer towns.

I don't time travel. I did on Wild World and Let's Go to the City, but I've decided to be patient on New Leaf. I do plot reset though, and I also use guides on April Fool's Day and fashion checks, and also when I'm working at the Roost because I'm too lazy to remember how every single villager and special character likes their coffee.

Not me, Lol. I plot reset, TT years and years on end, and have accepted hacked furniture (afternoon-tea set, for example).

I do sort of do. I do light time traveling backwards in the day, otherwise i would play only at night. But i dont time travel extensively, villagers land where they want to, there are no paths, no nice flower patterns, its all kind of random. Now, this is not because i have some deep philosophy, its because of pure laziness! But having said that, i just decided to achieve things slowly as oppose to being too goal oriented. I did that for city folk, and after a while, i felt disconnected from my town and had nothing to do after a while. So i made the conscious choice not to go overboard this time around.
