I didn't know the limit goes beyond 1 million. I don't see why anyone would save up that much if there aren't that many things to redeem the nook miles for. And I thought having almost 300k nook miles was more than enough.

you should try moving their houses around. when i wanted to move someone out i always got the same 4 villagers with bubbles for like 2 hours but after i moved the villager i wanted to leave and someone elses, they asked to leave after 3 tries
