I am curious about the people here... About what you ask? How many languages can you speak / understand and how did you learn it? Oh, and while your here, why don't you write your first spoken language.

Here is mine...

I can talk in French and English. My first language is French. I learned English a bit at school, and a lot while playing Animal Crossing on the GameCube. And then a lot more at school. I thought that Animal Crossing could only be played in English, so I had to ask my parents a lot... What the characters were saying, and writing letters, I would ask what is this word in English and so on... As you probably know, if you go to a French school, they teach a bit of English, but it's a lot easier than at a real English school, but I still learned some there. After grade 8, I decided to do high school at an English school. (I didn't want to go to a big school where all the people that were bullying me were going to be there...) I learned more there and even passed my ELPA the first year!

English is my first language and I also speak Spanish. I'm not fluent in Spanish but I can maintain a decent basic conversation.

I have a friend who speaks English, Arabic, German, Spanish and Portuguese. I don't understand how one can speak that many languages >_<

Just English. I took a couple classes of Spanish, but I never really had enough motivation to try and learn it any further.

There was the choice of taking Spanish this semester, but it was either that or chemistry... For what I'm going for, I need chemistry, so guess what I took. I find that words in Spanish resemble French words in a way, but they have weird letters in them, lol.

English is my first language and it's the only one I'm fluent in, and I also know a little bit of Spanish but I'm still learning.

Unfortunately only English, but I'm finding that I learn whole phrases fairly easy.

Also, I reeeeeally want to learn French or Japanese ^^;

French is my first language, I learned English on forums, studying Japanese at that moment (but I'm a lazy student ><).

English (first) and kind of Spanish. I am taking Spanish through school right now, so I am no where near fluent, but I can kinda understand it, and can kinda speak it.

I'm fluent in English.
I can only read French, can't speak it. And because of French I understand the gist of Spanish phrases. C:

Fluent in English, can understand very little Mandarin, Shanghainese, Tagalog, and Spanish. Cant be bothered to learn a new language atm >_>

Filipino is my first language, but I'm fluent in English as well since it kinda became my country's "second language" lmao but I can understand a bit of Spanish too because the Filipino language is heavily influenced by Spanish :cool:

I can read/speak Korean letters, but I only understand some of the words.. Currently trying to learn Japanese, Mandarin, and German eheh
