how many hours did you spend to plot reset for a villager to move into a desired spot

GOD! i have been plot restting for 10hours and freaking deirdre (or however you spell her name) just wont move into the spot fauna's house was at! im about to freaking give up...anyway, how much time did you guys plot reset a villager to move into a desired spot?

here's a tip I use and it helps A LOT.
although it will take some time, it saves you time all together.

TT backwards so her plot won't be showing up. by just a couple hours or however long it'll take to get to 4am for example.

take all your bells in 100's and drop them in places she's been plotting that you don't want her to go.
or even anywhere you don't want her to plot.

I spent like 8 hours on lobo then decided to try dropping every single item I had. when I was done, tt'd ahead to 5:58 again, made new character and he was exactly where I wanted him to be in 3 resets.


although it is not guaranteed the villager won't move on top of your bells and/or items, it is very less likely.
Also since then I've used this method on Whitney, Kyle, Wolfgang, & Poppy and I never spend more than an hour plot resetting now.

I don't usually spend very long plot resetting. I'm not that picky about where they go, so I stop when they land in a decent enough spot.

The longest I have spend was probably something around 15-20 minutes. I haven't plot reset lately though, the last time I have must've been a year ago.

Wow I only did one time for lolly because I don't want her and she really got in a good place that doesn't hurt my paths or actually nothing I'm just thinking there to put the stone tablet after she gone nothing much
But when I get Lionel I hope it won't take me to much time to put him close to drago

i definitely do not have the patience to plot reset for 10 hours. after like half an hour of trying, if i can't get the plot exactly where i want it, i usually just give up at a decent, but not ideal, spot.

At most, I plot reset at least a few times. As long as the villager hasn't moved in front of the bridge... or my house. I don't really mind it much. Re-working my paths kinda gives me something to do too. xD

The longest I had to go was 6 days for Mott. That's right, SIX days!
I did eventually give up on him, though, and let him plot anywhere. Then, I moved him out and swapped him for Antonio. Best move ever xP

How do you even plot reset for multiple days? Can you just make new characters even when the villagers have already lived in your town for a couple of days? Because I know you can until the second day, then you just plot the house - but can you still plot reset when they are practically walking around in your town? I never knew that. It sucks not being able to play during that time though, don't you want to play?

if you never play your mayor they wont plot. even after a week or two. they wait until you play again to move in. and you can always change the DS clock so its the same day again c:

Seeing all how long some of these have taken makes me wonder how long it'll take for me for my last couple of villagers. So far, they've all only taken a couple of tries to get a good plot. I want some to move in near Ozzie's house eventually, yet i've never seen a plot appear there in all the times i've reset.

I reset for over two weeks for Dotty. Still didn't get her in the right spot and settled. In Stitches's case, I reset for 8 days before settling and making it work

i believe the longest i plot reset a villager for, was like... daisy and i think i plot reset her for at least 16 hours... i took breaks in between but i was so aggravated by the end of it i despised her for a few days until i remembered how much i love her.

Probably about 5 hours for Agent S? Then with a random move in I did about 2 days to get the desired villager & spot.
