I've just started my cycle to move Poppy back into my town after I placed her house in the only real spot I can put my Caf?. She just moved out, her house is no longer there, so my question is, how many days until a villager asks to move out? Since I have 4 spaces to cycle it clearly wont take long at all, but knowing the days makes it easier for me not to worry about having one of my villagers move out.

I usually travel to days ahead until someone pings me. If I don't wont them to stay, I'll just let them go, travel to the day after they are moving, back to the original date and then two days forward until someone pings.
If you do want the villager to stay, tell them no, then travel five days ahead, and back to the original date. Someone new should now ping you and tell you they want to move out :)

It's not 100% safe to use, but I have never really lost a villager with that method. It's only when a villager hasn't pinged after the five days ahead and back, then you will have to go one day ahead until someone pings. Be sure to talk to your villagers - preferably the ones you want out. If you check up on almost everyone, you shouldn't lose any villagers :)

With the "two days forward - back to the present" method, If when I return to the present a villager doesn't ping me to move out, after use Save and quit many times to be certain that any of them wants to move out, I have to travel one day forward again, and they usually ping me for that (if not the first ping, the second or the third is usually the good one).

If I'm not cycling... I think my villagers lasted about ~2 weeks to ping me for moving out the last time.

The weird thing is, I just picked up Sly from a friend so I can use him in the cycle, and once he moved in and put me back to 10, Ankha pinged the day his house showed up, and then Graham pinged the day after! Weird.

Just depends.
When I was doing a cycling town and didn't really interact with any of them...2-4 days was typical.
In my main town that I've kept the same villagers in for forever...they ask anywhere from every other to every 3 days.

I have been playing since June of last year.I have had the same villagers for 8 months. It has always been 5 days.Hearing people say 3 makes me nervous.I just assumed it was 5 for everyone.Sometimes I wont play for a couple of days and I dont worry about move outs because I know I still have a few days to stop someone from moving. Now Im wondering if thats wise.
