How long does it take villagers to move out?

When a villager says "I'll be moving out on [whatever day]", is it always the same amount of days? If it's the 1st can a villager say "I'm moving out on the 3rd."? Is it always the same amount of days?

i think it's always 5 days after the first day they decide to move

I think I'll take about a week if you don't talk to them AT ALL.

It depends on when you talk to them though. Today Gayle told me she moves in like 5 days, but I've had 2 days before on other villagers.
