how long does it take for villagers to move in

I invited Julian in today from a friend's town, I TT-ed to the next day, did plot reset and then TT an extra day foward and his house was set up, and TT-ed to the 3rd day and he was roaming around my town. <3
so basically after you ask Julian to move in.
Next day > plot.
Day 2 > His house appears but he is not roaming yet, he's unpacking.
Day 3 > He's unpacked and roaming around!
