How long did you use TBT as a source for questions before joining?

I am curious I played about nine months before I joined, as was nervous of forums after a not so organized one not to be named long ago. So I was on my own looking up answers to NL questions and I kept getting sent to old threads here for answers and really wanted to join. Did not know at time about the trade plaza or anything but answering threads and such but how many others were lurking for answers before making choice to join.Cant believe have been a member for nearly half a year now, those nine months playing without any community were different but lonelier. Club Tortimer was only interaction then so glad times have changed, lol.

I joined up pretty shortly after discovering TBT. Before then I'd read GameFaqs, even if I didn't have any questions that needed to be answered at the time. I love reading game discussions about stuff I'm currently playing. Probably read that forum's ACNL section for about 6 months, and then I took a break from the game.

i joined instantly lol, not for questions, but to be part of an animal crossing community since i was really enjoying the game. i joined the forum the day after i bought my game, i just googled animal crossing forum lol

I was so scared of joining up here! I've been reading the threads for about as long as I've been playing but just like you, I was skittish about the idea of joining a forum >.< it was not wanting one of my old dreamies to go to the void that made me join up.

Joined about a month after I found this site. I just lurked because I was to shy to post until my join date, and I was still a bit skeptical going into my first thread/post in the IB.

I joined because I wanted people to discuss the game with, so I basically joined as soon as I discovered it. I searched "animal crossing forums" online and... yep.

I decided to sign up a few days after I got my game. The threads come up a lot when I search for things I'm interested in or looking for info in game. I was also contemplating on resetting that time.

The only thing that held me back as I wanted a community to talk to and to be able to do giveaways and cycle without a lot of helpers and hoops was I only knew one other community was with for over a year before New Leaf came out and things were CF and when I saw how this one seemed and that I was getting answers from posts but could only see so much I joined. Happy day. I did not get NL until about four months after it came out as I didn't have a 3ds or know about it and things were still really CF in 2013 but the other community you couldn't just do a giveaway without starting a business of it with workers to deliver or trade animals and it was not as well moderated so it felt like high school and I was the adult oldest at 28/9 lol. After new leaf though so many questions, thinks this, wiki that, but people know best am glad I joined when I did and had been up for a while as game had been out for a while and site kinks and threads were organized by then so I think came at perfect time and as others had it first they knew the answers a starter like me didn't as had a few months on me.

I set my game back to the start date though so my towns are always a few months behind never on date except my Haloween town from last year is about on point lol. At least each has a different season.

I think I lurked for only a week or two before joining. I decided to try hard to not be so shy and just jump in and get my feet wet. Also, this place seems much more welcoming and friendly and personal than, say, Gamefaqs. Those types of forums just seem so impersonal compared to this one. Also, when I do have a question somebody here always answers quickly. Plus, people are so nice! I trust this place.

I joined quickly, but you are right, OP, in google searches this forum came up a lot when I needed answers to questions I had as a newbie. Also, by that time, my sister was already a member and she said she got questions answerd so fast, so I joined up.

I joined because I saw my favorite villager in a cycle thread ♥ Now I'm glad to join because I've been looking for a forum with active members and more to discuss, and this place is perfect for that

I never used TBT for questions. Before I joined, I researched on Animal Crossing: New Leaf rigorously.

I don't remember. I had an account here back in November 2011, and months later (around June 2012) I stopped going on because I felt hated here. I don't really remember how or why I joined here. I think one reason I joined was because I wanted to make friends (yeah...). If I had to guess, I probably joined a day or 2 after discovering this site. I recently made another account because I wanted to make 3DS friends so I can wifi with people, and I wanted to discuss Animal Crossing related things with people since I don't often talk about Animal Crossing in real life.
