How long did you map reset for?

This is my first AC game and when I started back in July I had no idea there were so many variables when it came to maps. I chose I think the fourth map I was shown, without resetting (I flipped through them to see what my options were but by the fourth one I was like "**** this, I have no idea what I'm looking for" and just went with that one lmao) While I do sometimes wish I had less ponds (4) and rocks (9), I've come to love everything else (my river shape + south facing waterfall, peaches, square grass, green train station and town hall, etc.)

Although now that I am aware of all the variations, I'm sure that if I ever got a second town I'd be just as picky as the rest of you, haha.

The first time I just went with one of the four maps I was shown. Regretted it the day after, so I reset and it took me around ten minutes or so to find a map I liked. I should mention I wasn't really picky, though.

It took me 3 hours and it was like 4am. It was all worth it cus I got Skye, Fang and Bella as my starting five. Also my favourite peach native fruit + a symmetrical map :D houses were placed side by side too. It was perfect but now I'm getting bored of seeing the same map everyday xD

Literally 3 days and I'm happy with it. I got the native fruit I wanted (oranges) and already know where my campsite and cafe will be. After taking a long hiatus, I'm happy to get back into the game.

About 5 days I think....

My only gripe with the map I ended up with is that I have 3 ponds but other than that it was definitely worth it to not have to keep second guessing whether or not I should start fresh to get something better.

A few days for the latest (and hopefully I finally just stick with it). This time I was looking for a specific river shape - a corner river with Town plaza on it. The one I finally found has town hall and the plaza next to each other on the small peninsula, and it's still roomy enough for pwps and a couple of villager houses down there.

I didn't know about map resetting when I first got the game so I just picked one of the four maps and still have the same to this day. I like it, but sometimes I kind of wish I had a second copy to map reset and see if I can get an even better one.

probably about 3-4 days, i'm never happy with anything though, but so far i'm really liking the layout

was looking mainly for retail next to the dock, town hall near retail, town square at the edge of the map, narrow spaces and a smaller island in the south of the map

also looked for a decent set of starters:)

I only reset once. I didn't like the first set of maps I was given, so I reset and chose the second map out of the second set of maps.

I jumped in for my map 8'D

I got pretty lucky though, I like mine minus some bridge placement woes. Retail is really close to the train station for me too, which is nice.

When I still had Cypress, I just went with the first choice that came around. However, as more of my town developed(moving villagers, PWPs, etc.), I realized that the layout wasn't exactly designed for my plans. Almost since, I have been hoping to get a layout to fit my ideas once I get a new town.
I wish you the best of luck with your new town. :)
