How is there not a thread about this yet?!

You have 3 days to beat the game. Certain things only happen on certain days at a certain time.... If you missed it by a few minutes, then you have to play the song of time, and restart the 3 days.... Losing arrows, bombs, and everything is a pain in the ass. The game requires lots of patience

I never played it before...

What is it like?
You have the save the land of termina in 3 days or everyone dies.
You collect masks.
You turn into different creatures.
You control the flow of time.
That sort of thing.
In what way does it try your patience? :r :r :r
Let's say one sidequest takes place at 12 AM and it's 8 AM.
You have to wait until 12 AM.
And you have to keep repeating the same 3 days over and over and over until you beat the game.
I would die... :O

Patience that is why I don't get the game...

For me it would be a pain in the ass as you said...

Ocarina of Time took me 2 years to beat (mostly because of the forest temple and water temple)
and Majora's Mask took me almost 4 years to beat.

4 years to beat Majoras Mask! :O :O :O :O :O

How did you survive? :gyroidconfused:

And this game can get very depressing.
Unlike all other Zelda games every character in this game has a story and 99% of them have a sad story.
All caused by a evil mask and unless you can beat all 4 dungeons the moon is destined to fall and destroy everyone.
In one sidequest I felt like crying....

2 years? thats excessive.

and so is 4 years.

The first time I played both was so long ago, i couldnt tell you how long it took me... But i can tell you now that I can beat Ocarina in 1.5 days, 1 day if im really workin on it and not bothering with heart containers.

Majora's it takes me 5 days at least

Well back then I wasn't very good at Zelda games and if I was stuck at a dungeon i'd quit playing for a few days.
it took me months just to figure out how to get to the first temple in MM.

The 1% makes up the ending if you beat the game.

Yes, getting into the first temple in Majora's was a pain.

And I still sometimes get turned around in the Water Temple in Ocarina.... But the rest was a breeeeeze :)

I remember renting Majora's Mask for N64 shortly after it was released. I beat it by the time i took it back, but it was a few days late on the 5 day rental

for 15 bucks you can buy the Collectors disc for GCN on ebay or something. You get 4 Zelda games... If you were to purchase those 4 games on the VC it would cost you around 30 bucks. Worth it to spend the 15 on Zelda 1, 2, OOT and MM

But since the Wii has a built-in GCN in it, it is technically on your Wii.

Ahhh....Majora's Mask...
I didn't have the patience at all... Gave up at the Monkey Kings temple with the Deku mask :P
Ocarina of Time took me a week or so first time ever playing (I was addicted)but when I got to that dragon fire boss (Did it begin with M or something) I got so mad at dying so much I lobbed the controller...
