How have you decorated the sides of your island?

I have both my river outlets facing the south so I have two slimmer strips of land and I have no idea what to do with them. What have you guys done? If you have any pictures please share! I love looking at others islands.

I'd be curious to see what people did with those sections too! I specifically chose a map with river outlets on the side and bottom because I didn't like the idea of having such narrow pieces of land to work with.

I put the fishing cooler and rack of rods from the fishing tournament on my pier. Besides that, not much.

i'm still not quite sure what to do with the two strips! i originally wanted to put the villagers there but it ended up being too short for more than 2 next to each other so for a while i had 3 living in a vertical line LOL

My strips are literally just pathways, and flower gardens squeezed in. Kind of regret the map choice ;-;
