Do the red and yellow match your town aesthetic? Are they your favorites, or do you miss some of the other blooming shrubs? How are you making use of them this summer? 😄

Personally I like the pink and white azalea bushes the best, but the red and yellow hibiscus shrubs work very well together with my inner town theme that uses a lot of red and other bright colors. I’m still waiting for Leif to come by so I can add more of them in and replace my non-blooming ones.

I like them a lot more than I expected to! The colors are a bit less saturated than they were in New Leaf, and the petal texture is crisp and delicate which reminds me of crepe paper, so that’s lovely. The glow up for the hibiscus makes up for my disappointment in the hydrangea bushes this time around!

I love them, they've been one of my favorites since ACNL! I have a lot of them scattered around, especially near my beach areas.

...But the idea of replacing ALL my bushes with them is TOTALLY foreign to me. I mean, I've heard of it, but it's never been how I do things- I place bushes based on where they'll look best when they've bloomed. For instance, one of my character's houses is pink and white... so she has azaleas. My haunted house has olive bushes. My forest, with it's deep woodsy feel, will get added color in winter when the holly blooms ☺

So, I never need to worry about blooming bushes not matching, because I know they always will 😉

Very true! And I agree, I like these hibiscus bushes much better than the hydrangeas 😄 the darker leaves are also give them a unique feel compared to all the previous in season bushes.

Oooh you’re right! There are many different ways to play around with bushes! 😄 I personally love having color around my town, so I like replacing areas with blooming bushes to get a different color sense for that season. It feels fun and refreshing to me!

Really love the yellow one. I'm a fan of when there's more than one solid color. They aren't my favorite, I mean I don't have a favorite that are in bloom, I like out-of-season holly and azaleas shrubs. I do think the colors on the hibiscus bloom are the best out of all of them though.

I'm not a fan of any of the bushes mainly because the flowers are not there all year. With no flowers they are just boring and im not wasting time and bells to to replacing them with whatever is in season. i have very few on my island and plan to remove what i do have.

I really like them a lot more than the hydrangeas, but the colors don’t go with my esthetic especially at my entrance

I have ~120 shrubs on my island and I'm enjoying the new aesthetic the change in colours is giving the place.

I didn't particularly enjoy buying/digging up/replanting that many shrub starts though.

I planted some hibiscus bushes the first day Leif came cuz he was selling them so it was nice to see them bloom.

I need to make something creative with bushes. In NL I had a fountain surrounded by bushes and no matter what season it was there was a symmetrical set of blooming bushes around the fountain. I wanna do that again but there are more kinds now, I think, so I need the perfect plan.

I put mine in front of Nook's Cranny near the beach then a few near Audie's house. I also have this big terraformed waterfall with coconut trees and a resting area on top. I felt like the hibiscus would match the aesthetic better so I replaced the hydrangeas on there. Then, also a few around my campsite and the museum. The hibiscus definitely looks better now, but I try to limit them on specific areas that I feel like they would fit.

They don’t really go with my island theme but I bought a bunch of them to put near my beaches since they’re tropical looking.

I love the hibiscus bushes. I have them around my tropical themed areas. These bushes also remind me of my tropical themed pokemon island in acnl.

I haven't had Leif show up with them yet, so I haven't quite decided where I'll put them. I have a flower field surrounded by bushes that I change to whatever's currently blooming, so I'll definitely put some there. But they don't really match any of my villiager's houses, so I don't know that there's anywhere else I could really put them that would look good. Maybe near my tiki bar beach area...

Have them in a tropical neighborhood section of my island where Rodney and Sprinkle live. They fit in well enough with the bright flowers I chose for the area. Not amazing, but not bad either.

They're also one of the few bushes I like the appearance of without blooms - the blueish-green hue and the leaf pattern go so well with a tropical setting.

I personally really like the hibiscus! I have a whole beach area for Flora and I think it fits perfectly :) definitely better than the not really blue or pink hydrangeas haha
