How do you unlock more new working project?

I know theres a good variety of working projects but my list isnt changing- I've built 4 up to now

Any thoughts?

You just have to wait for villagers to suggest them. There is a way to get more suggestions quicker though.

Fill up your pockets with shells or flowers, put on your wetsuit, and swim out as far as you can go. Wait there for at least five minutes. Villagers are more likely to ping you this way, so once the five or ten minutes is over go for a walk around town and see if anyone requests a public works project. This usually takes a few tries, so don't expect to do it on the first try.

If you want a certain project to be requested you can 'trap' the villager type that you unlock it from (for example if you wanted to unlock the picnic blanket a uchi villager would have to request it), you can trap them by digging holes around them. After the 5 minutes you can go straight to the 'trapped' villager and it's more likely that they'll 'ping' unless another villager spots you first and 'pings' instead.
Although, not every 'ping' is a pwp suggestion!

I think generally being around town, like landscaping, fishing or catching bugs will help. Most people have said friendship level don'\t matter. it does! you have to be at least acquainted with the villager. You don\'t need to be best friends. GOod luck!

I usually play for a long time plus walking around town every now and then while working on fixing my town landscape + patterns and then accidentally bumping into someone who pings. I guess it's a good idea to carry nothing but tools so there's a less chance of villagers pinging about other things besides a new work project for the town, though I really got most of mine randomly without trying much xD

I do normally spend a good deal in my town planting and what not everyday and I do speak to my villagers to up our friendship- I am good friends with them all

You all do realize that you can wait at least 3 minutes right? I do the 3 minute swim to ping some PWP all the time and it works.

Personally, that's never worked for me. I usually have to wait at least five minutes or I will get no pings.
