How do you pronounce Genji's name?

"げんじ" as in Gen-ji. Westerners pronounce names quite weird, one youtuber pronounces Tortimer as Tor-timer (like turtle + old timer) and not like Tortimer like Mortimer lolll

This Westerner always said Tortimer like Mortimer! But I’m sure there’s other things I say weird. (And definitely Genji or it would have been romanized as Jenji.)

I have always pronounced it as Jenji and it didn't even cross my mind that it was not the right way for saying it. Good to be informed of how to say it correctly!

As a kid I was guilty of both ‘Jenji’ and
‘Tor-timer’
When I found out it was pronounced like ‘Mortimer’ I felt so stupid
And now I can read Japanese I know Genji’s name is ‘ゲンジ’ pronounced with a hard ‘G’. So yay for learning!
