how do you organize your pockets?

I keep all my tools at the top in a certain order so I can swap back and forth quickly between them...I regret spending the nook miles for the tool ring, as I never use it and find the arrow keys much easier.
I try to not keep anything in my pockets other than tools so I have room for bug/fish catching and shopping etc.

I have tools on the first row of my pockets. In the first two spots of the second row, that's where I keep the customization kit and a mini fridge (for changing clothes) to easily achieve the nook miles + achievements. The rest of the second row and third row is used for general stuff while the fourth row is used to hold on to stuff that I want to keep but can't store it because my storage is full.

tools -> several crafting item essentials (wood, iron, excluding softwood) -> medicine -> everything caught, given, dug up that I don't need

tools are usually in the top row, in whichever order.

materials are in the second row in the order of sticks, 3 types of wood, stone, clay, iron. if i have any diys on me, they also fill the second row.

and then anything else fills up the gaps

My pockets are completely unorganized. I sort of just leave them wherever they are when I first pick them up; I drop and pick up tools on a regular enough basis for me not to worry about how my pockets are organized. (The same goes for previous games; I've never adopted a particular pocket organization style, and most likely never will absent a compelling reason otherwise.)

Mine are unorganised, but anything I don't want to accidentally sell or give away, I put in the bottom right corner. Works for me.

Tools go on the top row and the rest is whatever, but i still organize them.
