I don't really have a good way of motivating myself when it counts haha (especially since I have a final next week oops). I let the crushing pressure light a fire under my butt to get me to do work usually but I gotta get out of that.

But motivate yourself to do what? I usually remind myself that it's for the best and will have a good outcome

Envisioning my future is what motivates me. I have no room for failure, so I view everything I do now as having a profound impact on my life & treat everything as such.

I gave-up relying on motivation long ago. I force myself to just get on with whatever needs done whether it's studying, homework, housework, etc. e.g. This evening I've been working on a 5,000 word report I have absolutely no desire to do. But I should be working on it, so I'm making myself do it anyway. It's a struggle but when things need done it's just best to get on with it.

I'm trying to motivate myself to learn a language and I have a pretty clear goal in mind...but......I'm still neglecting my studies

I wanT TO CRY WHY AM I SO ANNOYING

I always watch fancy YouTubers like Zoella so I will stay motivated in school. I'm like, if I don't study and get that PhD I can't live this life of luxury.

Shia lebouf. I'm serious that dumb video legit motivates me and gets me pumped up to work.

Ha I don't even try to motivate myself anymore. I just wait until the absolute last minute to do everything and then kick into hyper-drive and I think the pure stress makes me produce good work.

If it's something I don't want to do then I usually put it off until I need to, or give myself a little pep talk and just do it lol

Doing whatever needs to be done first thing in the morning works for me. My mind is clear then.

i tell myself to just do it because whatever it is won't complete or do itself. i just come up with all this deep meaning stuff lol

Usually I'm only actually motivated to do something for the benefit of my friends.
Example:
My brain: you need to study for your exam so you get a good grade
Me: nah
My brain: well if you fail you'll get kicked out of school and then you can't be there for your friend anymore
Me: *pulls up study notes at speed of light*

Motivation comes in waves for me, so I don't really do anything to motivate myself. I just wait for it to hit me. This isn't a good way of doing things, but I'm also not motivated to do anything about it lol.

I guess I envision how I'd like my future to look like, for example, what sort of house I'd like, the places I'd love to visit, etc.

Well. I wait until I have the pressure of the last second of doing something to push myself to finish. I'm a horrible procrastinator.
