How do you manage to keep axes?

I had a silver axe from the island that broke after what seemed to be 20 uses.
Now, I have to wait for an axe to appear in the shop day after day which breaks just as
easily.
Is there an easier way to get or keep axes?

You could get the golden axe from purchasing 50 saplings from Leif. That axe never breaks.

Silver axes are used to make decorative tree stumps.

Get a golden axe from buying 50 saplings from Leif, and then when you want to get a decorative tree stump, cut twice with the golden axe, and once with the silver axe. You'll get the decorative special stump, but the silver axe will last much much longer.

Here's a tip for making silver axes last longer: make the first two hits with either the regular or golden axe then finish with the silver.

Speaking of silver axes, does anyone know how often they show up? I have never seen one on my island.

It's one of those things that I could just get on here, but I want my first silver axe to be the "right" way. Haha.

Get the golden axe and use it two times before you use the silver. You still get the decorative tree stump but your silver axe lasts way longer.

Before I got my golden axe I just bought regular axes from the garden shop whenever I saw them. So when my current axe broke I'd just go to my closet and grab another.
I eventually ended up with like 10 axes but I got the golden axe.

I don't ever really use my axe and when I do, it's not for very long. However, I purchased a golden axe from a user on here so now it never will break!

yeah just get the golden axe if you want to use it often and have it never break. If you use it for stump patterns like I do, I just buy a bulk of silver axes on the island with the medals i win from the tour games!

and never use the silver unless you want cool stumps lol. i have a lot of them because i found them once and bought like 10
