Do you like "urbanizing" towns? Do you like grinding for dreamies or using tricks to their fullest extent? Do you just play normally? I wanna know! Honestly, I just play like I did way back, with the original AC. Wandering around, catching bugs, fishing, paying off my loan, collecting furniture. I don't want to worry too much about kicking out villagers and cycling through until I get my dreamie, or figuring out path layouts and where I'm going to put my hybrid flowers. I just like having AC be a game, and not a part-time job, y'know? I wanna hear how you play, though, so tell away! :)

Hi there! I would like to comment!

I play Animal Crossing New Leaf every day. And this is my first and only addiction ever in life.
I have this game for almost 2 years and back than when I just got the game, I played very normally, because I wasn't aware of using paths in beautiful and creative ways and I didn't know what hybrids were. So I played this game on the 'normal' way for one year I think.. and during this time, the game got bored so I quit. I bought some new other games on the 3DS, but It never touched me, like ACNL did. So I tried to play it again, but then all over, a new town, new character.
And then I found this site and I found out so many new things. And this website was the reason I become addicted to this tremendous game! I play every day almost 2 hours and I have to really consider things before I do them in the game. For instance the pwp. I really need to consider where to put those, because it feels like a huge deal. I give my hybrids everyday water so there is a change there will be more the next day. I am decorating my dream house .. and I have put a lot of time in it! I want every golden device, like the watering can. I love my villagers and I hate it when some lovely are going away. I hate it when new ones come in precisely on the place I DON'T WANT THEM TO MOVE IN. sooo. yeah I am kinda addicted

I've got all my dreamies so I just gotta keep them. I always go down to the beach to get a newly breeded white carnation. Then I refurbish some furniture and head to t & t emporium. I buy a blue hydrangea (if they have one). That's the main part of my routine. It varies sometimes.

I honestly think playing AC is such a relaxing thing to do and so I play casually if i've had a really stressful day (doing lots of exams atm) and so just fish, catch bugs, go to the island etc. However recently I have been really wanting to obtain all my dreamies but I'm not obsessed about getting them, I kinda just wait till one of my non dreamy villagers leaves so I can hopefully get one of my dreamies. Ngl i'm pretty sure I became obsessed with AC since the first time I played wild world on my lil' DSi xD

I'm the same as you. I play ACNL normally. I'm trying to add paths and stuff but mostly my town is pretty basic. I do not do time travel. My friend helped me and gave me a bunch of different fruits and some bells but my playing is basically just the normal play, fishing, digging, shaking trees, etc.

I only got the game a few weeks ago and thought it was quite hard to get used to the gameplay. I didn't know what to do and how things worked so I joined the forum and learnt alot. I tried to play everyday but sometimes I just can't. Im still in the beginning phase of my town and trying to collect some of the villagers that seem cute to me. There is still a lot to do and to upgrade so enough to play. I also like to see other players towns.

I like playing naturally for the most part, but there's a few "tricks" I'll do to bring myself even more enjoyment in the game. First, I'll continuously reset to get a map that I really like. Secondly, because the villagers are all clones of each other in personality groups except for appearance, I'll make every effort possible to get my dreamies as soon as possible. I'll plot reset them ONLY to prevent them from moving directly in front of my house/the shop/town hall/etc (I don't have specific spots planned out for them, I'll let them move wherever they want with those exceptions).

Besides those things, I prefer the play out the game as normal-paced and naturally as possible. I won't time travel to unlock shops early, I won't accept money or items from anyone (even fruit), I want to unlock and earn those myself. I'll place down paths, and I'll try to grow hybrids on my own. I'll catch bugs and fish as the seasons pass by, no rushing to finish anything. Once I have my dreamies settled in, I'm happy to play normally.

I don't time travel, it's just too complicated, I do sometimes go after dreamies but in ways that don't require time traveling, and while I do have some custom paths and am working on gardening, for the most part I'm keeping my town pretty nature-y.

I sorta play it half and half. I play it normally in which I look for bugs and fish, talk to villagers, go shopping, all the normla stuff, but then I also hunt for my dreamies (I've got 7, one guy is hopefuly holding Coco for 8 dreamies.) I also now look for hybrids, and know how to recognize them. Also thinking about starting to put path down in some places and organizing where certain fruits are.

I usually play it normally, of course I'm making town look nice at the same time. I usually go around town and talk to everyone and make sure no one's sick and all. Then, I'll go to the store and browse and look for white azaleas to plant along my paths. And since I'm not obsessed with dreamies, I don't mind a random villager moving in once in awhile. I love seeing new faces in my town and all. I don't time travel at all, and I just play at my own pace. c:

In my past towns, I've played "naturally". I never really knew about paths and things like that until I started coming on Animal Crossing forums, so my towns never really had a theme. They were really unorganized, and I just let whoever move in. And in my City Folk town, I'm pretty sure I had some bad grass wear but I never really noticed it.

New Leaf is the only time I started using patterns and getting dreamies.
