• Our 2026 Easter egg hunt has concluded and the egg locations have been revealed. Congratulations to Xara, Millysaurusrexjr, and xlisapisa for winning a Golden Easter Egg! Meanwhile, TBT's Fifth Egg Decorating Contest remains open for submissions through Thursday!

How do you keep your motivation up?

Placing PWPs and organizing my town with hybrids and bushes.
Three f***ing rocks are in my way though >:c
Well...I guess I'm still cycling for Chrissy but when I'm done I'll finally be able to make the last fourth character to gain more
paths. As well as completing my final touch ups for PWPs.
I'm trying to get all of the golden badges (except Streetpass because no one knows NL in NZ) and maybe start to collect villager pics

Strongly contemplating on getting a second copy of the game for designing a horror town and/or cycling villagers

I went for months before I decided to start landscaping my town. I think I really got serious about it in about... February? And as much as I LOVE my town as it is, it's nowhere near finished.

It's difficult in the beginning, when things don't quite look right... and you're not sure of where to go. But if you just keep working at it day by day, eventually things start to fall together. Honestly, when I first laid my brick path down, before I had my flowers/shrubs outlining it, I thought it looked HORRIBLY stupid, and I was so mad at myself for wasting HOURS of my life doing it. But, I kept it, and I kept at it, and now I am so proud of what I've accomplished.

Edit to add: I also have a one rock in the way of my brick path, but things like that sometimes you just have to say "OH WELL" to, because there's not much you can do about it. The rock used to bother the crap out of me, but now I barely even notice it.

Villager pictures took a while for me at first too, but once I started to receive them I started receiving a BUNCH of them. At this point they are almost a bother, taking up so much space in my closet. (I've been meaning to sell them, actually...)

As for PWP's, as someone mentioned, try putting on your wetsuit and swimming for about 10 minutes, then go run around your town. You WILL get pinged by someone in your town, whether it's for a PWP or not.

Good luck!
