Obviously you know the ropes by now. So, do you play "honestly" or do you skip about? Do you work on getting villagers before developing your town? (I'm doing this; someone suggested it and it's fun, but I wanna spend more time talking to my villagers instead of trying to get them all at once, then befriending.) What are you trying to do different in your other towns? I feel kind of like I'm missing out on gameplay or something because I'm skipping about to get villagers I don't want out, villagers I want to move in, holding villagers, etc. I know I'm a bit peeved because I managed to catch all the river fish I've been struggling to catch in my main town within my first day in my second. I CAUGHT A FREAKIN' KOI AS MY FIRST FISH.

I don't know what the point of this thread is. I guess I'm just in a state of being lost when it comes to my second town. I've just been tracking down dreamies and hoarding mushrooms.

i plain on doing some extreme TT'ing when i get my second copy. im gonna get the full zodiac figures set and send it to my main.

step 1: lay on the floor
step 2: cry
step 3: never get anything done in any town, repeat

i have a 2nd copy because i wanted to do a themed town with a story (like aika or that alice one) but right now it serves as a cycling one so i can get money lol. i hate my main copy being ahead of the real date so usually i only tt if im behind. but idc for this one.

Im actualy impressed by people who try to handle two games the right way. If I was to ever get a second copy, it would probably be my "Get villagers to sell/trade/give away in the boards, get seasonal items I might have missed, grow weeds for weeding day prizes-weeding badge for my main game?s mayor-lucky clovers and just make a mess". Just handling ONE town correctly for me already feels like such a big responsability!

Of course, for people who have already comleted ther first towns 100% with all the landscaping and items and badges and villagers and just everything, having a second town to start over from the very begining probably sounds like fun

1st copy: main town
2nd copy: cycling and experimenting around with TT. :3

^ this. I put all my effort into my main town, and the second I use for occasional cycling, TTing, storage (including mushrooms lol), a perfect fruit farm, and I keep some villagers there that I really like but couldn't fit into my main town. I haven't really got the time to develop a second town, and I prefer to put my free time into my main town, there always seems to be something new to do there, despite it being almost a year old now. Kudos to the peeps who can run more than one town! ^_^

I bought my second copy on an excited whim and before I realised that I would need 2 3ds consoles to be able to travel between games aha.

So 1st copy is my main normal town, no TTing, maximum effort and such.

2nd copy started out as a TTing experiment/cycling some villagers but now I've grown attached to the villagers I've got ahh so it's becoming a regular town.

Basically I play the first town normally, then slot in my second town and have a play on that. and if I don't have time/forget my second copy I don't mind carefully TTing to catch up.

I basically bought a second copy just so I could save a villager I accidentally tt'd out into the void lol. I was actually having a lot of fun playing through the beginning of the game again (Isabelle's so cute! Too bad she just sorta drifts into the background later on...). I was a little regretful that I had to fast forward the time so I could pick up the villager from the void pool. Wasn't sure how developed I had to be in order for that to happen, so I moved the game forward until I had 9 villagers.

Now I just use it whenever one of my main town villagers asks me to gather signatures for some wacky cause lol. Oh, and to grow perfect fruits that I don't have in my main town, so that my villagers explode with happiness when I give them some rare, exotic fruit.

If I got a third copy, though, I'd probably play it normally. That is, no resetting for villagers, no time travelling, and maybe waiting a while before trading with my other two towns. This is actually how I played my first copy for the first, say, three months. Then I saw a picture of a villager I really wanted on a K.K. album, and then while resetting for that villager, I found so many other villagers I really wanted, and so on...

I just play my second copy like I do my first copy. :P I haven't started laying out either of my towns though, so it isn't that hard. I just have a lot of dreamies and I have more fun with two towns compared to only having one.

I just picked up a second copy recently. Currently TTing out the existing villagers (it's second hand) and then creating a new town. It will probably be for cyclin to start with. I also want to build the PWPs that won't match my town or I don't have space for.

I've just recently decided to get a second copy. I don't have it yet. Still deciding whether or not I want to get a second 3ds or not. I plan to order the second game this week.

Anyway, plan to play second game much more casually than I play my main game, which I do play casually, but will be SUPER casual about second game. I'd like to let weeds grow all over, not even THINK about getting perfect town status, keep one character living in a tent, another character in a tiny, cozy house...just CASUAL. lol.

I would also love to have the 2nd town set to early bird or night owl.

P.S. If I play on my son's 3ds, then I later purchase a second 3ds for myself and move the cartridge to the new 3ds, do I just lose the HHS houses? That would be fine. Everything else is stored on the cartridge, right?

P.P.S. If I play my second game on MY 3ds and move it to my son's 3ds only once in awhile so that I can visit back and forth...would that mess up my games??? So I'd be playing two cartridges on one 3ds, then moving one of the cartridges to my son's 3ds now and then so that I could visit my second town.

I think if I had a second copy, I would try TT-ing to get any seasonal items I wanted?
and then I would try to get a bunch of dream villagers I don't have in my main one, and then I'd try to make a pretty town.

I feel like my main town is fairly developed so I can't make major changes...
