How do you feel about new buildings?

Apparently some datamines are predicting new features and potential buildings. How do you feel about having to accommodate new buildings on your islands?

I am here for new buildings. Bring them on! I am not here for the two hundred threads that would arise on the forum complaining about new buildings, though!

On the one hand, we need new content! On the other hand I’m going to have to make some layout changes and I don’t know if I like that. I hope that at the very least some buildings will be optional.

Google Ninji. I think he mainly posts them on his Twitter and then lots of other people take that info and make Youtube videos and message board posts, etc.

I am absolutely 100% here for new buildings. I have no idea what to do with half of my island because there is nothing of purpose for me to place right now.

I don't like the idea of new buildings. I don't want this massive urban sprawl of an island with dozens of different buildings. More buildings would just make all the islands look more same-y.

I have a lot of room on my island, so I need more content.

On the other hand, I hope it'll be more optional for those aren't wanting the downtown look.

I would love more buildings. For an all inclusive island getaway there aren't many places to go lol.

I could manage. I have an outdoor diner behind my main street area that I could easily use for an extra building instead. I only have two human characters though. It would get pretty crowded for anyone with more than that.

I'd rather they were part of an existing building. I don't see why a cafe couldn't be in resident services or the museum and any new sellers/designers in able sisters or nooks.

Not great about having to make space for more buildings, but I WILL scream if they add a cafe or restaurant.

I definitely agree that it’s important that the island, for me (and it sounds like for you), to remain “islandy” and not too city-like, but I also don’t see them adding that many new buildings. If we get more than 3 or 4 new (not upgraded) buildings in the next three years, I’ll be truly shocked. I don’t really think it’ll be a concern!

I'm fine with having Brewster even if I don't have space at the moment. I would later make space for it. It'd be more convenient if it ends up being a part of the museum. What I really want is the dream suite but I'd rather have it outside like Harv's island though. Can't wait to island hop and see people's creations like every nook and cranny and also check out their houses while rotating my camera in every room to see those details.

They mentioned a museum cafe and museum gift shop, which I'm hoping will just be extensions to the museum like how the art gallery was added. I wouldn't mind standalone buildings if they served a major purpose in the game.

Even though I’m done decorating my island. I’m more than willing to accommodate some new buildings And move things around. I’m excited for the island to feel more populated

For sure, but I'd hope it'd be like a max of 3–5 new ones, like a cafe/restaurant, some Retail / Flea Market kind of thing, Police Station maybe. I'd rather there also be a city to travel to if they want to add lots of new ones.

Ooh, another island similar to Harv's would be ideal. It could have buildings that add functionality to the game, such as the dream suite, without overcrowding your main island.
