How Do You Cycle?

Another question, is it just me or are there to many cycling threads these days?

There are never, imo, too many cycling threads unless everybody here who wants certain villagers has them and there are no more requests. Then and only then are there too many. There is a demand and a want; so no, I don't think there are too many.

Also, some people cycle for free. If I ever want to get Lucky, for example, I'll either never be on with someone who is giving him away or else I'll likely never have enough bells. Only if I get very lucky (no pun intended) and get him thru some miracle, there can never be too many. Imo.

I cycle by TTing one day forward. I walk around and make sure I appear in front of all my villagers outside to see if one of them pings me for moving away. I save and quit then I TT one day forward again and I check all my villagers again. Then I save and quit and I tt 2 days back and check again. Sometimes I have to repeat this process to get the villager I want out to ping me.

Well,First of all it does not NEED to be one or two days, it can be easily three, four, five, just NOT AS Recommended, and a villager could sneak out Without You Knowing But to make it well, i should say quicker, poeple would TT two(as you said),three, or four, but my point is theres really not a limit,IMO, the difference is the time and the luck.

five days at a time is perfect so long as you don't care who moves next. Just keep traveling 5 at a time until Isabelle says someone is in boxes. No one will sneak out on you this way.

I agree because I used to TT 5 days - 1 week when I didn't care who I wanted out. Since I started collecting 10 deer villagers. I had to be more careful of who is leaving. That's why I did 1day forward + 1day forward +2days back. That made sure I wasn't missing out on any potential deer movers. That's how I got my Fang to move out (my last non deer villager) and complete my 10 deer collection. Lol Fang was tough. I TT worth a month of time.
During my journey I learned villagers can ping you everyday for move outs or you only get pinged once a week. That's why it's best to take it slow when u r getting closer to filling ur town with dreamies.

Aaaand I'm going to agree with this. I actually think it's sorta rude to say that there are "too many"? What does that even mean? Too many people giving a free service from the generosity of their hearts? My lord.

Now, I suppose I can understand disliking a lot of separate threads, but... What's the harm, really? So you may have to dig for threads. I can't imagine that's the worst thing in the world. You go back a page or two. Some people like working alone, or have certain reasons to, or whatever. It's fine to disagree with that method, but I'm certainly not complaining about it, seeing as it's what I'll be doing at first. I wouldn't really criticize cyclers unless the people themselves were rude, which I have yet to encounter.

As for how I plan to be doing it, I'll be using either bamdom @ Tumblr's method, or just going strictly one day at a time. I asked someone for some advice, and they said the ignoring method wasn't the best, but rather to talk to them once in a while and then cancel the conversation so they'll still ping you, but won't go anywhere on the friendship ladder.

Anyway. It's funny how you call cyclers selfish when they're doing one of the least selfish things I can think of, which is getting people their dreamies and seeing that people are happy. So they don't want to group up? So what? I can see threads I need to see just fine. Now, I mean, if there are certain people that do it for... Well... I don't know, NOT getting people dreamies, then yes, that would be selfish. But so far, all I've seen is kindness and generosity.

My apologies if I seem snippy. I don't particularly intend for it, I just don't think it's fair that some of the most generous people get criticized because there are... "Too many". Like, would that also mean that there are too many people that do giveaways? :/ Just putting it into perspective.
