How do people get so many camp site items and DLC?

I stopped playing around the time amiibo and the camp site cam around so Im a little lost. The items like Sanrio and all these DLCs; arethey coming from the campsite? If so, how does anyone get enough meow coupons to pay for them all? Or are they from amiibo? People have these stores and everything selling all these items. If someone can explain, that'd be great.

People also sell items they get from amiibo cards. I know a lot of people get the valuable rvs and then sell items received from there.
