how do i get this villager OUT

okay here's the deal, Paula has been here for irl months, she's terrible, her house is in a terrible place, it's just?? ugh So she moved here in i think November of last year and is still here. I always just ignore the villagers I don't like and eventually they move out which i had at first done with Paula, but she was my only uchi and eventually i wanted those public works projects so i started talking to her, once i got them all i started ignoring her again. During this time she asked me once to move and i said yes but then she said that we had to be better friends! u__u;; so she stayed and i've been ignoring her since February i think but she still sends me letters and runs up to me sometimes, i ignore her but she STILL hasn't moved.
do i actually have to be friends with her to get her to move out?? i want her gone seriously she's driving me nuts! ;__;

Have you tried the TT method of 3 days forward and running for a ping?
(It's also the whole 2 days forward, 1 back, but I just do 'em all at once.)
I just keep doing that until the villager I want out either pings me or there's a rumor of them leaving, which I don't bother checking in on because I don't care and just want 'em gone.

Doing the 2 days forward, 2 days backwards trick will help to get her to ping you quickly. If she changes her mind, just reset and try again.

I'm using this method right now and it works! it's taking a while for me because I have one certain villager that I want to move, out of all 10 villagers.... I've traveled back and forth (TTing 6 days forward and back) like 7 times already.. O'Hare still won't ping xD it's always someone else...

If she pings you and wants to move, and you say yes and she stays, reset your game.
I got plenty of villagers out that way. Fuschia almost stayed in my town she said she wanted to become better friends, I reset and she left 2 days ago <:

Well, it looks like you don't time travel (yet).

I don't TT too in my main town and just befriended every villager... the ones I didn't want to keep pinged me quite soon!
And if they still want to stay even if you say "no", just turn off and on again. I know it's a little bit of cheating, but if they troll you, troll them back, thehe
It's better to look for the pings right in the beginning so you won't lose any progress you made while turning off

2 days forward/back is probably the safest method in my opinion. It's been a long time since I lost anyone doing that method.

i do TT sometimes but only one day at a time and only when i've completely exhausted everything i can do it the day (talked to all of the villagers, gone through all of the shops, worked on my houses with what i have, etc). Never anything over one day at a time! I'll try the befriending thing for now and hope she tries to move, and if she changed her mind i'll do the reset!
