How did you get rich in NMT?

This is a post for those that are rich in NMT. Like, if you have 50 NMT and above or somewhere around there.

I'm very curious, how did you get so many NMT? I would like to know the way cause im broke in NMT lol
Trading? Selling? Entry fees?

also if you TT or use dupe glitch its ok i dont judge, just curious to know what majority do!

and also wanna see if i can get alot of nmt myself to go island hopping lol

I have over 600, all obtained through trading. I cycle in Coco and Marshal one after the other and sell them on Nookazon. I also have a second player character, and whatever recipies they get from Celeste I don’t need I sell as well. I’ve also sold hybrids I’ve gathered up from nook miles islands. Getting a decent amount of nmt isn’t too hard if you have patience and know what people want!

i time travel a lot to cycle out my amiibo villagers and i get quite a few from selling those and while i'm doing that i get loads of mom items i sell off for 1-2nmt each
i don't ask for a lot when i sell things but by the time i go island hopping, i look in my storage and i got around 100nmt saved up :3

sold villagers. I got lucky and ended up with Audie, Raymond, Judy, and Dom. Raymond and Dom I'm still keeping, but I sold off both Audie and Judy for like 80-100 nmts each.

I also make a ton from trading though.

i was thinking for a while to charge 1nmt per person to catalog the complete blue cute series but idk if people still want that lol (or if thats reasonable)

I had around 500 at one point that I obtained from just playing the game and earning miles and trading.

I've now sold a ton, used them to buy art, tip the cyclers that held my villagers during a reset, and donated some to a few users who were island hopping. I currently have around 150? that I don't have a plan for right now. They don't mean that much to me now that I have all of my permanent villagers.

I made arts for pwyp and people offer nmt <3 I think I have about 70 in my house inventory and I use them as a bit of an escape whenever I'm feeling fed up with decorating and terraforming.

I have the natural wood pagoda actually, and I don't want it (didn't even realize it was going for so high)

I made most of my NMT by selling Judy and Audie! also by offering services/items or holding auctions for rare items. In total I could say I made about a 1000NMT. Also, idk if you know this but duping anything is easily bannable/punnishable so I wouldn't dip your toes into that haha

I get my nmt from conducting trades on nookazon and setting it so that im only looking for offers in nmt!

although I dont really need/want nmt but since they're the main currency I have them to get stuff like artwork or unorderables

I've also bought a few from people, but most were from trades. Most I've had at one time was 60.

like others, definitely agree with cycling/selling villagers. i also get a lot just from grinding the nook miles + tasks. you can also trade bells for nmt!
