How did you decide on your town name?

My name is embedded into my town. It`s a name I wish I could change, I guess.

I named my town Nitevale (Night Vale wouldn't fit) after the podcast - anybody here a fan?

However, I didn't subsequently name my mayor Pamela because: 1) I don't really like the name and 2) she's resigning as mayor of night vale in June...

I named my town Alfhiem after my favourite anime Sword Art Online i thought that the name was quite unique since i haven't seen anyone with it as opposed to my last town which i had the same name as somebody else on the forum

Eternal: WELL. When i made the town in june when i was going through some rough things i remembered that i have to keep moving forward no matter what happens, and it was a promise i made to someone to not give up on them, so it's something that lasts forever and it can't stop. i can't stop moving forward and i can't give up on the people i love. i have to do for the rest of eternity no matter how hard things get. And since i'm not one to rest my town it means it'll stay and never be reset.

MapleBay: I didn't come up with the name someone on the forums did but i like it because it feels very autumny and it sounds like a relaxing town name. It stood out to me and I went with it and I'm VERY happy with the name it's the first town name i've ever truly loved and I don't think i'll ever get tired of (since I get bored of town names pretty fast)

Sorry if the first one is kinda stupid and all but it's what inspired the town name.

I saw a video on Aika Village months before I got the game. When I named my character, Airen, I wanted the town name is match and I remembered "Aika" from somewhere. It sounded pretty so I went with it. Auraria isn't what I would consider "personal" but it came from a place in real life. c: I also think it went well with "Ailynnia."

I named my town the United Empire of Something (it's really something else, but I can't remember, so I pretend the S means something ^^) or the U.E.O.S.

I tried to make it based off of a very modern city in America or something, so instead of the US, it's U.E.O.S.

Stardust was actually not based on a movie at all. I didn't even know there was a movie called that. I chose the name "Stardust" because it sorta symbolizes a golden past that gradually slipped into nothing; the dust of what was once the star.

I was going to name it Boondox then i realised that it was going to be overused.....so it was mostly a rushed decision... I came up with Away.....which is far away from Home!

well my boyfriend shares my game with me and he suggested that we give it a funny name but swear words were too easy so we named it heck to be ironic. i regretted it once i started making my town fancy but it's just funny now, one of my town quirks uwu

My town is called Cinnamon because I was making apple and cinnamon crumble whilst resetting for the perfect town map.

My second town is going to be called Starfall. It's going to have a space theme and my characters are going to be called Luna, Nebula, Solar and Comet.

My town name is Skro,which was meant to be Skaro, just I forgot the a.
Skaro is the name of the plant of the Darleks from Doctor who.

I didn't want to spend ages picking the perfect name when I could be playing so in a glorious burst of creativity I decided to name the town after myself. I now regret this as I feel obliged to plant roses everywhere simply because the town is called Rosetown and I don't actually like roses very much.

I just really liked the name Starfall and thought it was beautiful. I'm making my town cosmic themed too so it fits perfectly.

My old town was named Nitevale, after the popular podcast. My new town is Rosewell. It's the first floral name that popped to mind. My whole town and it's characters have a backstory, and my mayor is a huge green thumb.
