How did you decide on your dreamies?

I have a set list picked out for my main town, and then replacements if those villagers happen to leave D:

I'm currently deciding villagers for my second town, and it's rather hard to pick considering all of the villagers I have picked out for it are ones I find cute, had in my first town or happen to catch my eye.

How did you decide on your dreamies?

Mostly by cuteness. Bree and Flo are villagers I came across campsite restting that I liked. Kiki I had in a previous town, I wanted her back. Pierce was an old villager my sister once had.

By their looks and if their perfect for me. Like Eugene for example, when I first saw Eugene I was like "Oh wow he looks so cool, I have to get him when NL releases." And I did.

I just opened a list of all the villagers in the game and just clicked on the ones I liked then narrowed it down from there. I actually have several towns planned out cause I liked a lot of villagers. Not that I plan to have more than 2. I just picked ones I thought were cute or awesome looking. I just looked at a picture and said "I'd like to have him/her in my town."

I guess they chose me more than I chose them. Or, rather, it was both ways. I would see them or see them in Dream Towns, or just meet them by chance and if I adored their looks and personality I had to have them!

Only a couple of mine fit with a themed area I'm working on and I chose them for that reason as well, altho to be honest I loved them before I decided to try the theme.

I like this sort of question better than what sort of villager or design turns us off? Well, those chats can be interesting but can also get too heated. This one is nicely phrased and made me stop and think.

Looks to begin with, as I wanted villagers I'd never experienced before (I didn't play City Folk for very long) .. And then as I did some cycling, I came across new ones who I liked

I love a lot of the new villagers, so it was tough choosing a final 10, which is why they've changed so often

Some of them I've had in previous towns/games and wanted them again, and the others just looked cool (and i visited dream addresses to narrow it down)

I based a lot of mine on looks. I have changed my dreamiest so many times because I have fallen for new villagers.

I just looked at all the villagers in the game picked the one I like from each species then from the ones I picked I crossed out which I liked the best

It just worked out that I had 4 or 5 squirrels in my town at once. Then I decided to make my whole town squirrels, except for Ruby. But now I'm thinking of getting rid of her & replacing her with Chrissy & replacing Caroline with Francine when I can. It may take a while since they're kinda hard to find & expensive.

I am in the exact same boat as the OP, it's kind of weird haha. I planned out all of my dreamies when I first got the game, based off of cuteness and for sentimental reasons. But I had to go to a backup plan when Lily randomly moved out </3 And I'm getting a second copy soon as well, and I agree that it's hard to decide between the villagers. There are too many cuties!

I decided my dreamies mainly on their appearance. I currently have only one dreamie who I REALLY want and that is Muffy, who is my dreamie mainly because I had her in my old town and we were practically BFF's, so I really miss her. :c

I have most of my second town villagers picked out, I'm really unsure about having Frobert, Carmen and Tammy so I'm probably gonna do a little bit more on deciding for them.

I picked by looks first, and then ordered by convenience.

I actually picked by what personalities I needed, If i just picked by looks, I'd have all lazies or smugs or whatever cause they're funny and have cute designs.

I actually did this recently, which is why I've been working on moving out villagers of the same type because I want to have at least one of each type. I noticed I had 3 normal villagers and of the 3, Pekoe was the one I was least interested in keeping, so I let her go. I just went through the personality lists but I still picked who I wanted by apperance. I don't have any uchi's and the only one I like is Muffy, so it made sense that I would want my old friend back as my uchi.

25% personality, 75% looks. I love the looks of normal villagers but, the problem is I have too many normal villagers/dreamies. I don't like the cranky villagers, the personality and the looks. Except the wolves, I like wolves. Still undecided about that.

I select by catagory, and by looks, and their house

They can't be an eyesore like Al, Harry, etc.

As long as they are cute, I'm fine with having them in my town
