How did you decide on your dreamies?

I select by personality, then species (I go for two of each species), and then I'd pick the ones I liked best

Um, I guess by how cute they were and if they "clicked" with me in time. I mean, I know they're all programmed personalities and speech patterns, but you know they all kind of have their own thing. If that makes sense.

They're mostly villagers I had as random move-ins or starters in my first town. Deirdre and Wolfgang were campers in my first town. For some personalities I looked at the list of all the villagers of that personality, and picked the ones I liked, which is how I ended up with Dotty, Colton, and a couple others.

either from nostalgia or because they showed up in my town and i fell in love with them. i only had two real dream villagers and i kind of just let the rest happen.

I saw pictures of them and thought that they were totally adorable and I wanted them in my town lol. I never liked Stitches though in the pictures, but I loved him when I got him in my town c:

i picked the ones i liked then narrowed it down to favourite personality type then picked the other ones i really wanted idk i really wanted rodeo but when wolfgang came to my campsite i couldn't pass him up!

Well..it started with owning Skye then loving how she was animated and how she interacted with me. Then Kyle popped up in my town and I fell in love with the African dog look he had. And finally I just got so over run with all the wolves I gave them all a home. Felicity also moved in randomly and just stole my heart. I tried other kitties like lolly but they were just never better than Felicity to me.

I usually pick mine by having had them in one of the earlier installments, but some of them I saw in other people's towns while visiting or in dream towns

I'm a little shallow, I admit. I mostly chose cute villagers, with a few exceptions being villagers I've had in previous towns.

I don't really buy into the whole 'dreamie' concept. But there were two villagers I really wanted: Lobo and Tia.

Lobo - the very first villager I met in AC:WW. He's my all time favourite villager.

Tia - elephants are adorable. My favourite drink is tea, and she looks like a teapot. Plus she has my name in the Japanese version.

Honestly for me it depends on if they were in my earlier games, or if they just appeal to me. It's not always looks, I'll absolutely hate a certain for some reason one day and fall in love and just need them the next. I guess it's just who really appeals to me? I can't really explain, sorry. I do like keeping my dreamie pool wide or low standard because a villager I never really cared for will end up becoming better than any dreamie I could have ever wanted, Like Kidd, Pekoe, and Beau.

Looks and personality. I want to have a variety of personalities in my town as well (even though I have five normals), so I try to choose them based on if they're uchi, cranky, lazy, etc.

Some I'd met before in my boyfriend's old town (I stole them as dreamies for my town), some were starters I fell in love with. The others, I chose out of my favorites of each animal type/personality/etc.

I found a list of all the villagers and I really wanted all the cute villagers. My opinion has changed now. I don't really have any dreamies. (However, Filbert is ALWAYS welcome in Azalea)
