How did you come up with your town name?

Flores means flowers in Spanish, and I really wanted my town to eventually be full of flowers and all that fun stuff. Plus I just think it's a pretty word--rolls off the tongue.

My town name is Siiera.
It is basically my real name spelled weird. It's a made up word.

It's my username in MMOs and it's never taken

My town name is Fall Out because one of my favorite bands is Fall Out Boy and I thought Fall Out just sounded really cool.

I love the podcast and am extremely unoriginal. Plus, I thought it'd be a funny little personal inside joke because Welcome to Nightvale is so creepy and weird and my town has it's own little backstory (all in my head, of course, because I'm too lazy to actually write about it) that's 100% not creepy. Idk, I thought it'd be funny.
Oh, I love that podcast too ^_^

I was in a hurry to start playing so Mytopia (=my place) was a quick type in, now I wish I had named it something better but have played too long to start over. On the upside it was easy to work MY into the town flag :)

I was bored when I came up with the name of Finch.

I knew I wanted to have a modern town; hoping to create a slum-like village. My idea was to relate my mayor to my town.
I thought that combining 'Jane' with 'Finch' was pretty funny, and there you have it.

But Finch is actually quite festive; missed the mark there.

It's a town in one of my favorite games. My second town, Enna, is named after a town from the sequel to the first game.

It was actually based off Erik, the reason I got animal crossing in the first place. Erik just reminded me of christmas, and he made me wanna decorate my town based on christmas, and yeah I love christmas and snow and Erik is adorable and Merry is a nice name. Also, my favorite anime/manga is One Piece and the crew's first ship is called Merry, and so it just gives me that home feeling. It's just so cute, and I'm glad I had this as a name. It's one of the thing I'm proud of, as the rest of my town is **** and my layout is crap. :( But my town name is just <3 And it matches my town tune too (jingle bells lol), and yeah, it's just based off Christmas, thanks to Erik.

Celadon City is my favorite town in Pokemon, so I decided to name my first town after it. My second town, Chrome, is going to be rainbow-themed, so I wanted a name that slightly related to color. I found out that chrome was, and I liked how it sounded, so it became it's name.

I wanted a sweet-sounding town, so I thought of different types of candy. I was going to name it "Starburst", but that's over the character limit, so I just named it "Sunburst" instead. I like Sunburst better anyway.

when i was a kid with the gc version of animal crossing i couldn't think of a name so i named my town "town". for nostalgia i did the same thing with new leaf.

My towns name is Duskvale. I wanted to go for a night time - sleepy town. Also I am a huge fan of the Welcome to NightVale podcasts. I would have named it NightVale if I could, but there weren't enough characters. ><;;

Mine is Starland because I was going to call it Starbeam which is a named I have used in the past but decided I wanted something a bit different. I kept the Star part mostly because I was too lazy to design a new flag :P

I'm actually very happy with the name, as I think it sounds very fairytale-ish, which is the theme for my town.

From video games, TV shows, movies.
Some people will spread out a world map, cover their eyes, and randomly plot their finger down on it. They name their town after the place their finger lands on.

When I can't think of names I tend to go with food/drinks I like... I was really desperate to start playing so I was like I LIKE MILK TEA thus I shall name my town Milkutea. /worstnamingprocess. I guess I really like tea, my WW town was named Pandatea. I didn't even realize I made another tea named town with my NewLeaf town. 8D;

I wanted something that sounded calm and peaceful.
I'm also a Firefly fan, so Serenity popped to mind pretty quickly.
I liked it even though it's not super original! My town flag is even the logo painted on Serenity in the movie by Inara.

My first town, in Wild World, was called Crystal.
I don't really remembee where I got the idea from though, I think it was a random guess.
