How come we can't take villagers from other Campsites?

It doesn't seem like it would take much effort? Like if a friend of mine had a camper that he didn't want but I loved, I could invite them over to camp in my village within like 1-3 days and have him move in then. Is there a reason a feature like that wasn't included?

Maybe the game developers thought the villager trading is just good enough, and players can invite/adopt villagers from other towns. So they probably thought it isn`t necessary. They should include it in the next Animal Crossing.

Well, the villager would know nothing about this new town, and maybe they want to play it safe. At least if they camped out in the other town, they could at least somewhat experience the town.

maybe because if it was a villager someone really wanted, another person could come by and swipe them without the other knowing and that wouldnt be cool. i guess its just like a play it safe thing, like how people cant erase ground patterns in others towns.

I'm not sure why, but maybe in the next game you can ask the villager to camp out in your town if you have the campsite, and then you can ask them to move in once they're in your town.

So we don't get rich by selling a villager like Diana who so happened to decided that your town was the best place to camp?

Because it wouldn't make sense for a villager to go camping in one town and then go, oh wait, I'll go to your instead.

I'm not sure either. If we can adopt a villager in boxes, we should be able to do the same for those in campsite. Its just data fundamentally.

I guess it's just a way to protect the owner of that town. When you invite a villager, it's because that villager is leaving anyway and I haven't heard of many people inviting villagers without the owner of that town agreeing to it. If you could invite villagers from the campsite, you could just beat your friends to it and get villagers they wanted from their own campsites. Maybe the developers also thought it wouldn't be necessary since you already get villagers in a lot of other ways, like your own campsite, random move-ins, and inviting them from other towns.

From a story perspective, when you invite villagers in boxes from someone's town, they say they're looking for a town. If you invite them from the campsite they imply that they already have a town but that they really like your town and wouldn't mind moving. It wouldn't make much sense for a villager camping somewhere else to just decide to move to your town.

Because when camping they are on vacation and not out looking for a new place to move into? If I was out camping and someone kept asking me to camp in a different town I would probably say 'maybe next year...'

And also what other people have said, it's a safety-measure for the players. Especially since it can take a while to get a camper to move in with all their games you need to play and you don't always win. Take a break from trying, invite a friend, friend leaves and you go to try again only to find out the camper has made plans to visit your friend instead and you've lost your chance at getting them to move in. I would be heartbroken if it was one of my dreamies.

Hmm well it doesn't make a lot of sense for somebody to being camping in one town, yet be interested in moving to another, IMO.

Well, I think of it this way: the villager is in a vacation camping in your town, so he/she is just hanging in your town. They can come to your town since they know where it is, but they won't move to anyone else's town, since they can't go from their vacation to a new town just for the sake of it... :/

for people saying "safety measure", its really not like they couldn't just leave the camp afterwards.

Like how if someone picks up a villager in boxes, then said will then be gone right after.

Of course, this would mean that "leaving the camp" would also have to apply for if the town resident with the campsite invited them to stay, but still...

Hmm never really thought about it but here are the reasons I think are possible (some might have been said already).

1. To protect people from snipping villagers
2. To keep the "mystery" with villagers moving in and out
3. Since you can already invite villagers in boxes, they thought it wasn't necessary
4. "Nintendo logic"
5. Actual logic~ why would a villager camp in one town to possibly move there only to go to your town.

It could be a future possibility, but for now it's like this lol. It is cool though that we can "choose" who we want already with asking villagers to move in that are in boxes and that was never a thing before so I guess baby steps
