Selling How can a villager be transferred?

Hi,

I feel like I may be asking an obvious question, but what if I want to sell/trade a villager but they have expressed no interest in moving to another town? How can I get involved in selling/trading villagers? I read the form about the tiers of villagers, but I can't seem to find any information on how to execute the exchange.

This doesn't really make any sense, lol.

To sell/trade a villager, they should be in boxes. The other person buying that villager will talk to them and ask for them to move in...

Basically, it's random. You'll be walking around town and one of your villagers will get wide-eyed as you walk past them and the villager will come over to you. Sometimes, they'll tell you they're planning on moving, and they'll also give you the date they plan to get out. If the villager who wants to move is someone you'd like to sell, tell them to basically "have a nice life" (you can either say "Don't move" or say you don't care that they're moving) and then you save and quit, and time travel to the day that the villager was going to move. Go into the game and they'll be "in boxes" meaning they're preparing to move. From there, add someone's friend code, have them come over and drop bells, and then enter the villager's home and talk to them.

If they aren't planning to move out, could someone still ask them to move into their town if they have space?

However, if your friendship with them isn't good enough, the villager may decide to stay and work on your friendship

No.. they can only be asked once they're in boxes
