how are NL players who loved the modern/tech furniture items handling NH? lol

asking because i am one of these!

i loved every single modern/futuristic/sleek tech furniture piece and public work project and while i hope that we get some more of these items/customizations in NH's future, i'm at a bit of a loss for how to decorate my own island, right now. i keep wishing for things we don't have/trying to design and just can't. what have other people who also love the futuristic/sleek/simple/modern style done with the game so far? any recommendations on towns to dream of or anything?

ie: these are some of the things i am talking about! but also the sleek series, some of the mad scientist set, the astro house customizations, all the WA glass items, etc

I miss everything from NL, to the point where if they don't bring back all the items soon, I'll delete my game and sell the switch.

There's very little interest left for me.

If they add more furniture items like what is in this post, would they really drip it to us over months/years?
I am hoping they do a large update on items available on New Years or something kinda large like that.

This morning I felt so down I started destroying my town, then shut the game off before the worst feature ever - autosave.. could kick in.

I know the items are out there and just can't handle that they were left out.
There's so much I could do if I had them.

It's making me start to dislike everything about nintendo and AC.
So depressed and frustrated.

I'm sorry maybe taking a break until they do some sort of large update?? I do find it odd that alot of people say there is so much stuff not in NH but to me at least it doesn't feel like NH has been adding new furniture since release really. Maybe I am over looking something.

I want the old furniture and items.

I really loathe crafting too.
The game is ok, it's just not a good AC game.

I do feel like it is a super slow game. Like with the rumor of growing veggies, I realize now that it is almost pointless to "deck your island out" until they are done with updates because myself, I don't want to build and tear down constantly (constantly meaning every update that drops). So I already regret filling my island up.
With this in mind, I do have hope of them expanding the item catalog more later.

I really miss the science fiction items and most of the PWPs they really worked a lot better outdoors than the simple house furniture we have now, I can’t even put up a windmill in this game :/

I don't play nl but I'd love if they bring that back. I hopes that they will bring that back in future updates

We finally have the option to decorate outside of our homes, however we have very few furniture options to use. I don‘t care about color variation. What I would like to see is more furniture. Nintendo put so much emphasis on decorating, yet we‘re at a loss as to how with so many limitations.

It's one thing seeing the thread title and feeling a bit bummed out, but did you HAVE to include the pictures? ☠

I love modern design, and I love minimalism, and those are two things completely and utterly absent from this game. I'm afraid they're really trying to shove this whole "this is a DESERTED ISLAND far away from the evils of CIVILISATION and you WILL live cOtTagEcORE from now on"-idea down our throat, and I'm not having it. Fine if some people want to treat it as an actual escape from Big City and make their island all natural, but I wanted to make a city, and I really done thought that this would finally be the game to allow me to do exactly that. I Was A Fool.

That being said, they did include some science-related furniture, and of course the whole space set. And those cool animated research wallpapers and whatnot really are some of my most favorite items in the whole game. More plz.

I definitely miss a few sets, but it isn't going to ruin my life, or the game for me. They will be added as updates, or they won't. Simple as that.

Bruh I just made a post about the Sweet Sofa. I miss the furniture series sets so much. Especially the princess set. Like I understand they don’t want to give us everything because then people will get burnt out but why did they take out so much.....I miss the variety of exterior designs..Ugh...Hopefully they’ll bring this stuff back.

I super duper miss the PWPs I think in general, the NL furniture selection was much better. Though now, when I open NL it looks really greasy compared to the crisp graphics in NH, I can't help but miss my favorite furniture sets.

I could see an astro/sci fi update at some point. And mid century modern, too. Really hoping they bring back building styles, too.

I hate to say this.... because I'm really against microtransactions for the most part.... but I wouldn't mind if like every 6 months they released an optional stuff pack for like $15 or something including a bunch of items and sets. Seeing all the beautiful things in Pocket Camp, and all the missing things from previous games, I would like to see those things in New Horizons.

I’ve always been a huge fan of more rustic, countryside themes so I’ve had no problems with finding furniture to decorate with. However, it does pigeonhole everyone into using the same small pool of themes, which is a problem. I also remember there being a ton of fun little items like that electric chair that were really interesting. Maybe-just maybe-things like that will pop up in the Halloween update.

I miss how stylized the past furniture was, especially in NL though. Whenever I see screenshots I'm reminded of how many cute items there were that I wish we had now... like froggy chair

I have the opposite problem, I loved the more... natural items in acnl (wisteria trellis, bus stop, zen bell, etc.) And I find that the nook miles items especially in ACNH seem very geared for like a... city or at least more urban style of design, which still looks nice but is not what I want for my island.

The thing is they had a theme for everyone out there. We can only hope NH brings most if not all of them back. I still haven't decorated my entire house. Most are just empty rooms.

Don't give them any ideas. This game is already $60, by the time it's over it could be $200 or more if you want everything back.
