How about NOT 100% original?

FaebelleDoll: Marshall - popular as players want his sloppy furniture, so check what he has so you can tell a potential buyer.

Ah, I didn't know he had a rare furniture set like that... I think if I ever auction him, I should upload screenshots of the state of his house after he decides to move so they can see for themselves...

I guess since I'll intend to auction him to someone who really wants him, I can put the effort in to keeping him "original", though I'd never bother with any other villager. ... You're right though, it does sound stressful, urk. :(

I like the originality of each villager: I can see what their house and character is originally like before it gets changed. Often though, with unoriginal villagers you can miss out on their 'natural state' theme because it has already been altered, of course it's not a bad thing at all, guess it just situational and preference is all x3

Tbh, I don't mind if the villager isn't original as long as I have the villager that's all that really matters to me. Besides I can always replace their stuff although some may say it's a lot of effort it's actually quite beneficial for me because it helps me fill my catalog and expand the nooklings. But no I don't mind having a villager that's unoriginal at all! I also enjoy giving clothing to my villagers and changing up the theme of their house if I feel like it doesn't suit their personality, but that's about it.

I don't care about them being 100% original as long as I get a villager I love I don't mind how original they are.

Oh my gosh I just understood what the big deal was about 100% original, I just thought it was some status thing! I've never traded or bought villagers, so I didn't know that if their furniture is altered, that's what they move with u_u well that's one question answered!

I will mess around with furniture but I will try to make their home look a certain way (or whatever shirt they are wearing change to something more appealing). But I have never caught fish or bugs for a villager because of the fear that their house will be ruined.

Honestly, as long as they're not wearing the duck shirt or have a noisy bug (mole cricket....) in their house, I don't care what's in it. ^^;

This is interesting to me as I started a town with the purpose of trying to have all the villagers to max friendship, I mean all of them that exist and when the time comes cycling them out quickly. Day 1 -2 changed their shirts 1 asked for a home visit where I took her bucket because it looked ugly on her floor and 1 asked for a pill bug during the get to know them day 1 phase...and I hadn't even decided if it was to be cycle or not but 2 errands were ask her to come here shirt exchange:tabby, find me furniture, wart jr and one deliver a present shirt change:stinky..I don't want to think I won't be able to cycle them out if I chose or when I get to nine or one pill bug or wrong shirt or missing ugly item is going to be awful when it is give them on time. Will see. I mean I'm not particularly looking for a lot for them or maybe anything depends when that happens but it's just interesting to see as some people do play towns where they don't intend to keep said villagers permanently. So no I won't lynch you, I agree actually. If you want them original totally the only real way without getting I used to live in so and so let me hum the theme forever is the old fashioned way camp seek them. Just me though. When I was dream seeking I didn't care much, I did about shirts only at one point but that's so easy to fix and I never thought of asking a discount for it after all they were helping me without having to.
Anyway I agree with you, do what you want, if you let one go, and don't remember every little item they may have had or changed do t worry about it if someone wants them really they will appreciate it esp since the list of tiers is well objective.

To be honest I love doing things for them and I'm always checking the list of favourite presents for my dream villagers. Not too concerned with how original they are, same goes for when I'm getting a villager from another town. Marinas house is about half original but I'm just so happy to have her I don't care!

I never cared about them being 100% original, but I try to make sure that Eugene keeps his cool leather jacket and O'Hare keeps his blue tropical shirt. I bought both of them, and it was important to me that they had their original clothes.

Makes no difference to me whether they are 'lived in' or not, lol. I actually enjoy hearing them tell stories and sing the songs of their previous villages. Gives them a background and some character development.
