I've been dragging my feet forever in finishing my home renovations. In fact, there were some rooms that were so perfect in their size that I didn't want to enlarge them. But I really wanted to pay off my loan... Now I don't know what to fill my rooms with. Like two of them were actually perfect but now I need more of the same furniture family, and there's just too much space per room.

Any tips? I'm super bummed out and don't know what to do D: (also does anyone else feel like this or am I just crazy?)

I feel the same way. That's the reason I don't upgrade to a full size mansion (or at least hold off on expanding the sizes) ._. I actually love the way the smaller houses look and I probably wont upgrade my house further after I get my basement. My only other room on the main floor is my bathroom, which I've kept small to make it more realistic. I honestly think 8x8 is quite hard to fill up, even with a full single furniture set, so I split my main room into a living room and a kitchen.

Yeah I usually just keep it to the main room max expanded or if I want to exterior bigger I block off all the side rooms but that of course means you have to do the upstairs ;^;

yesssss, i have this problem with my mayor's house. i've been visiting tons of dream addresses just to get some ideas on how to decorate, and it's actually been super helpful!

there should definitely be a way to shrink rooms, because i upgraded mine as fast as i could and then realized way too late that i didn't like it. :<

I'm having the same problem... I mistakenly expanded every single one of my rooms except for the right room. Now it's just too spacious and empty.... Tom Nook, why can't you undo your renovations, I'll pay as much as you desire!!!

I've always wnated the option to downgrade our homes. I have all of the rooms but they aren't fully upgraded. I kept three of them small and made the rest big.

I've always preferred smaller spaces so I've never upgraded my mayor's home past what villagers have.

A lot of people use their extra rooms as commercial locations. Think Happy Home Designer -- hotel, cafe, clothing store, campground, classroom, library, etc.

I fully built my houses and then regretted it afterwards. Wish there was an option to downsize.

... Seems like I'm the only one that never had such feeling, ha ha ha! :)
I'm ok with completing the houses to a full, because there are just so many options that I never ran out of ideas of adding furniture to a room. You don't have to get copies furniture of the same series to look good, you know? Just think of the bug series, it has very few pieces so I added camping and yard things, and it's nice! At least in my opinion, of course. You just need imagination.

Funny! I've just started feeling this way too but my Mayor's home is fully upgraded now. I'll just do a little bathroom and other smallish rooms on my extra character's. :>

I only noticed the way the small houses look from the outside recently and I love them too! ^__^

I know the feeling, I really wish we could choose to downgrade or homes. If I was starting again from scratch now, I wouldn't upgrade my house to the maximum size again. I can't find enough funirtire which matches as well as fits in the rooms, unless I use whole furniture sets and even then the rooms look quite bare.
