So the homes of the 2 starters are pretty barren in comparison to the later islanders who move in with fully furnished homes.

Today, I noticed that one of the starters had replaced her sleeping bed with an actual bed. Do these 2 starter islanders accrue proper furniture on their own?

I know that your islanders will use what you gift them (e.g. clothes, accessories and furniture). Yesterday, one of them bought a fish off me. Today, the damn fish is displayed in his house :| I expect there will be a way to replace it or buy it back eventually, but just be aware of what you gift them if you care about how their homes look.

I like seeing the development, it finally feels as if you're not the only one working towards progressing into a nicer home. Especially since they started with nothing with you.

I gifted a tulip wreath and then a heart doorplate to Reneigh and I didn't actually realise she would hang them up. The heart doorplate seems to have replaced the tulip wreath.

Over the course of the next few days, you'll see they craft their furniture sets into an eventual theme. Patience is key.

Reneigh is one of my starters too! I gifted her an old sewing machine today. It should be displayed in her home tomorrow.

Oh that's perfectly fine! I was wondering if I was supposed to help them furnish their homes. Glad to know they will do so automatically.

Now I just need to get rid of that fish.
