So, there's all sorts of little easter eggs/hidden things in the game or references to real world things, like the Orville brothers, Gyroids and Haniwa etc.

I found something new a few weeks ago, but keep forgetting to show it off, I think it's new anyway.

So, when you go and get your fortune told by Katrina, at first glance, it looks like what she's speaking is some mystical tongue, right?

At first, when asking about your luck she says:

'Keeee ha mo-ataa...
Keeee ha-mo-nurataa
LLA SWONK LATSYRC EHT!'

And then if you have bad luck and ask her to purify you she says:

'Keeee ha mo-ataa...
Keeee ha-mo-nurataa
RETSASID DIOVA'

Read those last lines backwards, in the luck one, she says;

'THE CRYSTAL KNOWS ALL!' backwards.

and for the purifying one, she says;

'AVOID DISASTER!' backwards.

Pretty cool how they manage to get little things like that in, what have you found which is a sneaky little easter egg or hidden detail? :D

That’s such a cool detail about Katrina. I don’t have anything to add, unfortunately, but I really like the idea for this post. Also, I’m not sure if this qualifies as an easter egg, but Chevre has a picture of Nan in her house, and vice versa. It’s a nice detail. A lot of people are already aware of this one, though.

I noticed that too! I also noticed she has a red version of the magic circle rug under her table and garlic on her trailer door lol

Not sure if references count, but when you catch a squid in ACNH there are three different catch quotes: Two of them are Splatoon references, and one is a Mario reference.

-"I caught a squid! It's off the hook!" (Splatoon)
-"I caught a squid! I had an inkling I might!" (Splatoon)
-"I caught a squid! Do they... Not actually 'bloop'?" (Mario)

Also, the thing with Katrina is very cool! I actually didn't know about that. :0

An easter egg that has been included in the series for a long time is the K.K. Song, which is Totaka's Song. This short melody have been included in a lot of Nintendo games dating back to 1990. Kazumi Totaka, the creator of the song, also voiced Yoshi, Birdo, Prof. E. Gadd, and Capt. Olimar.

There is a hidden insect near the crickets section of the museum. If you stand on the top of the stairs next to the wall, use the camera and pan it way up, you can either find a moth, centipede or ants.

At exactly 3:33 AM, there is an alien broadcast on the television.

Another nifty thing I've been meaning to mention for a while is when you fly back from Harv's island, the town Wilbur says when you ask to go home is whatever your native fruit is :D My main island is apples and my 2nd island is peaches, he says 'Appletown' for my main, and 'Peachtown' for my second :'D
