HHD furniture moving for secondary characters?

Hi, I was just wondering when in the game/how I get the option for the easy way to move furniture in my second character's home? I got a letter from Lottie but all it had was the plaque thingy.

You need to purchase the secret storage room for your house, and then visit Nook's Homes. After that, Lottie should teach you the method.
