I just need some help.. with deciding what to do. I did something to my arm and whenever I bend it there's a shooting pain that goes through it and now I cant even move it without it hurting. I know for a fact I didn't break a bone or anything. My friend thinks I might have torn a ligament and told me to go see a docter.

The problem with that is I just made a Dance Team and we have practice basically everyday. If i break / tear / fracture / sprain anything then I can't go to any of the competitions or for however long I have to wait for it to heal.

So basically... what would you decide to do if you were in my position?

Most likely I'd go see a doctor. You can make whatever it is worse if you strain it.

As much as you may hate hearing this, the doctor may be the best choice if it doesn't just go away soon. Leaving it could make it worse, and maybe it's really minor and you either won't have to miss any practices or hardly any at all.

Yeah a doctor is probably the way to go... after all if it is something bad that would prevent you from competing, not getting it treat won't really help...

Gabby, go to the doctor! NAO!

Like it was said, if it is a small pain, then it can get worse if you strain it. Then it can become an even bigger problem.

Doctor.

Even if it seems like a good idea to dance through the pain now so you can carry on practising, the long term trouble you could cause may well end your career.

You might have just pulled a muscle...

Bit if it's really bad, going to the doctor wouldn't hurt... Unless he amputates it... That would be painful (chew)

Go to the doctor! If it's a serious injury and you keep pushing it, it could put you out of commission for longer than if you get it checked now. D:
