Help with villager reset trick?

So I had a villager move out like 6 days ago and i'm TTing to use the new account/reset trick but I keep resetting and no one is showing up. I heard that you have like 7 days for someone to move in. I've been resetting the same day over and over and if theres no new move in after a few times I go to the next day to see but still nothing... I'm not even getting any campers :/

How many villagers do you currently have? If it's nine, then you won't get a random move-in. Not unless you pick up someone from someone's void or like you said, from the campsite.

Sometimes you won't see someone camping in the campsite for a looooong time.

I only have 8. I just reset again and now Biskit is in my campsite. He's pretty darn cute so I might just keep him!
